I booked a table here well over one month in advance to ensure we got a great table as this was my partners first time in Dubai, the first day of our trip and his birthday - so I wanted everything to be perfect. I requested a table by the balcony side via email with the best view and the restaurant emailed me back saying “Please be informed that we reserved the best table for you.”

We also planned the whole day around this dinner and scheduled everything in downtown for that day so we would be in the correct location.

When we arrived to the restaurant for our meal, we were sat in the far back corner of the terrace, right in the corner almost inside with no view.

Both the host and the manager were very rude and unhelpful when I expressed that we were not happy with the table and the manager just kept telling me over and over again that they do not reserve tables or guarantee tables…. This was clearly a lie because, not only did I have the email confirming the “best table”, but I was also refused other tables when I pointed out specific empty options that we would prefer sitting at due to them being “RESERVED”!?

Very unpleasant experience that completely ruined our evening… extremely disappointing. I expected much better service as per every other restaurant in Dubai and we found the staff to be very rude, unhelpful, impatient, unreasonable, unfriendly and not attentive in the slightest.

The menu was also incredibly expensive, especially considering the lack of views at our table.

We left after being ignored at our unwanted table and not even asked if we wanted a drink after over 20 minutes of waiting.

Vomiting after lobster linguine. Painfully disappointing and abysmal.

This evening was meant to be the highlight of our Dubai stay as we were celebrating our Mum’s 80th birthday. We booked days in advance with the request that we have a fantastic view for the 80th celebration. Not one staff member acknowledged the birthday, the table was set back from the terrace fence, service was disorganised, food was poor, tasteless and basic, no wow factor what so ever. They were not prepared for our request at all and on questioning them on leaving, the lady at front desk admitted our request was on the system but not carried through. She blamed the service staff- saying that they were informed but didn’t do their job. That was a lie! as it was clearly HER that had not read our booking properly, not informed anyone of the special occasion and also did not wish my mother a happy birthday. Found that shameful that she couldn’t admit her mistake instead she blamed the innocent service staff. No integrity.

A couple of hours later, my husband was violently vomiting from food poisoning (he had ordered the lobster linguine)! As I am writing this review- I can’t believe how extraordinarily poor this whole experience was. Don’t be fooled by the photos of famous people along their walls. Location is all the restaurant has going for it- if it was anywhere else- I’m sure it would have shut down by now. And we spent hundreds of pounds! Sad for us to mark and remember the 80th...
