BLU Dubai — Restaurant in Dubai

I’ve been living in Dubai for 3 years. I’m not into clubs too much , however once my friends or family are visiting Dubai, I’m always recommending this Club. Anyone who was asking me a night club in Dubai I was recommending only Blu telling them that artists are performing etc. as I said, if not into clubs and also I don’t DRINK a lot. Maximum I can have is 2 cocktails coz of course I will not stay without any consumption right? So yesterday I reserved a table for my family as they came to visit. We went to restaurant after we decided to have some good time at club. My sister was celebrating birthday. First: I’m asking the waiter, is there anything we can just say happy birthday to my sister at midnight? Any small gesture we don’t need something huge. As in all clubs in Dubai there’s a slice of cake with candle or anything. Which waiter came back after 20 min and said “ if u want cake u need to pay 400 AED” complimentary we don’t have anything. I mean, not a big deal, but is crazy that your clients are choosing your club to have good tome while they celebrate a special occasion and u are not doing anything as a gesture. A slice or f cake will not bankrupt you 🙂 but it can make the experience better to your clients. Anyway, whatever it was not the cake a problem. After an hour, I started to have strong stomach pain. Probably because of the food I had in a restaurant (not sure). I had just stomach pain I was NOT DRUNK. FYI. I even did not manage to drink more than one cocktail that night. My sister she asked me to go to washroom so I can sit little bit in private so the pain will go. I went inside, I sat quietly holding my stomach. I was absolutely not disturbing anyone ( I was not vomiting it was just a simple discomfort in my stomach). The security (black lady) she could not see the drunk ladies in the washroom , but she saw me holding my stomach and talking to my sister. She’s approaching me “ u don’t feel good? U have to go home!” Which i answered that yes I have some pains in my stomach as I had dinner in one of the restaurant but I hope it will go soon and I can go back to my family and friends. Which she’s telling me again that if I don’t feel good I have to go home. I was shocked. I told her I’m not drunk, I’m not having an inappropriate behaviour and I decide if I go home or not. The security lady is telling that If I don’t feel good she can take me OUT! Sorry what?????? I’m not a tourist I live in Dubai ! I saw how girl are behaving in your club and how are vomiting in toilets! U got disturbed by a person who was having some stomach pain and went for washroom just in case she will want to use the toilet? I mean ?????? The whole experience was ruined. I had to take my family and just go somewhere else just because of all this. How can security talk like that to your costumers? I understand it’s a club but you have clients who are coming from countries richer than Dubai and they know what is SERVICE. I’m not a sensitive person, but in this case it was disrespectful and we came with a good energy to celebrate and all this was ruined by...

Their manager, the security and the hostess were very rude. I asked via their reservation a number they provided on their social that we should use for reservation and this was the respond i got. I was shocked when i got to their entrance that only people with tables were allowed, mind you i have been coming to blu since way back i usually come when there is artist they always bring the artist on stage very late like around 3:30 am when the club will be closing at 4pm , so i go there alone, or just to have a drink i have never caused a scene before, i came to blu when so many artist were performing including Chris brown when he hosted i have been asked to pay 200 aed when ever i do not have a table,

When arrived at the entrance they said they will not allow me to enter, but on whatsapp you said you’ll telll me when get to the entrance why on earth you never mentioned this when i texted earlier on? i was dressed according to the dress code, the security, manager and the hostess allowed any other person who did not have a table to enter but they denied my access, i had only come to watch Gunna performing. I was willing to pay. This is really bad if the security and the manager are discriminating people.

By the way there so many better clubs in Dubai, i will never set my foot to Blu.

They disrespect i got from them was so unnecessary, you allow so many women who comes to hook up with the people you who would have sell the tables to, to come in your club but a normal girl who had just come and was willing to pay you refused her the entrance what a shame especially to your manager surely he is so unprofessional and i would like to say he so racist. You want to make money with black artist rich black people but you actually hate a mere black person....
