My friends and I recently attended the Saturday brunch at Cavo, and while the food, music, and overall vibe were enjoyable, our experience was unfortunately overshadowed by a series of issues that highlighted the complete lack of capability and professionalism from both the staff and management.

From the moment we arrived, the tone was set when we politely asked to change our table and were met with an unnecessarily rude response from the lady who seated us. Things only got more frustrating from there. We were a group of four but were seated at a table with only three chairs. Despite asking the staff multiple times—at least ten times—an extra chair was only brought after a ridiculous delay. When we asked for water, we were again made to wait far too long, even though alcoholic drinks were being served promptly. This clearly showed misplaced priorities when it comes to guest service.

One of the most concerning moments was when we discovered a cockroach inside a frozen ice cube. This is a serious hygiene issue and completely unacceptable, especially at a venue positioning itself as a premium brunch destination. Additionally, one of my friends had left his smoking accessory—a dhoka—on a plate to keep it safe from getting damaged by the drinks and water on the table. The staff cleared it away without checking, and when it was finally returned to us, a piece of it—the filter—was missing. There was no communication, no effort to confirm whether it was something important before discarding it. Also another friend lost his sunglasses.

Later in the afternoon, my friend’s bag went missing. It had been left beside the red carpet area near the security team, and when we returned from the washroom and asked where it was, we were met with blank stares. No one had an answer, and worse—no one attempted to help. My friend was visibly upset and stood there crying for nearly thirty minutes while we kept asking the staff for assistance. Again, nothing. I ended up looking for it myself and, to my complete shock, found it randomly placed on a chair. In that moment, I lost control of my anger and I did lash out at the management for not taking even a minute to see if the bags were nearby. In hindsight, I should have calmed down but I was completely hysterical. This was well after brunch, when the venue was quieter, so there’s really no excuse for the lack of response or urgency from the team.

Amid all this, I also realised I had misplaced my phone. I went around asking several people, and luckily a staff member finally found it. Around the same time, someone also returned the dhoka, but again—it was incomplete.

The strange part is that all of us lost something that day. It almost felt like there was zero control, no one managing the floor, and no staff member willing to take ownership or help. Not once did we feel looked after. At a brunch where the setting and offerings are otherwise great, this level of disorganisation and lack of hospitality was shocking.

I sincerely hope this feedback is taken seriously. The entire experience could have been handled with even a fraction of care, attentiveness, and communication. Unfortunately, what we faced was the complete opposite. Cavo needs to urgently train its staff and review how situations like these are managed. The smallest bit of effort and accountability could have...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Cavo in Dubai, and I must say, it was a delightful experience from start to finish. Nestled in the heart of the city, Cavo exudes boho chic vibes that instantly transport you to a trendy and relaxed atmosphere.

The decor at Cavo is simply stunning - think rustic wooden furniture, vibrant textiles, and lush greenery that create a cozy and inviting ambiance. The attention to detail in the interior design truly sets the tone for a memorable dining experience.

But let's talk about the food - it was absolutely delicious! The menu at Cavo offers a delightful selection of Mediterranean-inspired dishes with a modern twist. From fresh seafood to flavorful mezze platters, each dish was expertly prepared and bursting with flavor. I especially loved the grilled octopus and the lamb tagine - both were cooked to perfection.

The service at Cavo was top-notch as well. The staff were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, offering recommendations and ensuring that our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional.

Overall, Cavo in Dubai is a hidden gem that combines boho chic vibes with delectable cuisine to create a truly unforgettable dining experience. Whether you're looking for a romantic dinner for two or a lively gathering with friends, Cavo is the perfect spot to indulge in great food and a fantastic atmosphere. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a unique dining experience in Dubai.

I had an extremely disturbing experience at Cavo Dubai that I feel compelled to share. While taking a photo at the venue, an unknown man came up behind me and touched me inappropriately by holding my waist without my consent. I was alone in that moment, and I immediately confronted him. He was shocked by my reaction, and when I firmly told him I would call the police, he and his friend began begging and apologizing repeatedly, asking me not to report the incident.

What was equally disappointing was the reaction I received from the management. Instead of support, I was treated with blame and hostility. The manager aggressively demanded my ID and treated me with suspicion, simply because I had entered through an application that gave me access free of charge. A female staff member even told me, “You’re beautiful, of course people want to touch you. If you don’t like it, stay at your husband’s home.”

No woman should ever be told that unwanted touching is normal or acceptable. I am still in shock that a venue would condone such behavior and fail to provide even the most basic respect or safety to their guests. I hope this review brings attention to the seriousness of what happened and pushes the management to take real responsibility for creating a safer and more respectful environment...

When I walked into Cavo in Business Bay, Dubai, I was immediately struck by the Tulum-inspired atmosphere. The space has a bohemian charm that feels like a tropical escape in the middle of the city. The vibe was energetic, with music setting the tone for a night full of good times. The food was a real highlight for me. I had the delicious dynamite shrimp and the grilled salmon, both of which were beautifully presented and bursting with fresh, vibrant flavors. The dishes perfectly complemented the restaurant's dynamic yet refined vibe, making the meal an absolute pleasure. As an interior designer, I was captivated by the thoughtful design details at Cavo. The use of natural materials, like the raw wooden tables and the woven textures on the walls, brings a warm, earthy feel to the space. The greenery cascading from the ceiling enhances the tropical atmosphere, creating a sense of immersion. The seating is arranged to promote both comfort and conversation, with cozy cushions and textured chairs that invite you to stay longer. The layered elements, from the macramé wall hangings to the strategically placed mirrors, add depth and interest, making every corner of Cavo a feast for the eyes. This space truly captures the essence of boho-chic design, making it not just a restaurant but an experience.
