Absolutely amazing, fantastic, MUST visit place. I have way too much to say about this magnificent hotel with the kindest, most receptive staff I’ve ever met.
-Staff - First off, huge shout out to our servers - Mr Soyed and Miss Grace! They were both so kind and proactive, they would go as far as doing things before we asked! The best wait staff from any restaurant I’ve been to so far
-Ambience - A really beautiful restaurant, I must say. It faces the Burj Khalifa so you get a nice view of it while you dine. They have really pretty interiors, live music (with great singers singing melodious hindi music). They also have a fun spot to take photos at near the reception. It was quite full even on a week day so I would fully recommend a reservation (beware, the website reservation isn’t enough. It’s better to call them directly!)
-SPECIAL MENTION - they have a huge screen where they display your wish “happy birthday/anniversary/congratulations” whatever you’d like, the whole restaurant joins in on celebrating your special day with you. They’ve the most fantastic way of celebrating of all restaurants I’ve been to, with flaming candles & cake!
-FOOD (the important part) - they’ve pretty reasonably priced items on the menu, which is a creative and extensive one by the way. I LOVED their selection of cocktails and mocktails, all of it was delicious. The food was hot and fresh. We tried these off the menu -
-banjara murgh - epic 10/10 -tanatan pomfret - it was so flavourful and soft -murgh lababdar with garlic naan - both really delicious. I LOVE naan and their garlic naans were so good, I was munching on them plain! -prawn biryani - the prawns were huge & chunky, we devoured them. A really good option if you like seafood! -shahi tukda - delectable, we were so full but once we took a bite we ended up scraping the dish clean LOL -tarbooz mocktail, spiked shikanji, and fiery jugaad - each one more delicious than the other, I especially loved the spiked shikanji. It was like a more delicious pina colada without the overpowering flavour of coconut! -special mention - their lotus cheesecake is so yummy! Definitely worth a try if you like the flavour of lotus 👍🏽
All in all, a wonderful place worth a visit! I will be visiting again...
Read moreThe place has free valet parking. The vibes and atmosphere is really amazing. The seating area is HUGE. You can either choose to sit near to the live band or you can sit far away from it. Prior reservation is highly recommended. There are a few good Instagram friendly corners in the restaurant. But trying to get a picture on the swing with Burj in the background can be a real chore. It's right next to the door leading to al fresco dining area and you can only take a good shot by standing next to the door which opens outside. The staff and guests keep coming and going through the door. The band was good but did not like the female singer's voice. The music is L O U D. Sitting there my daughter got a headache and had to walk away from the area. My ears were numb all through the drive back home. You will have difficulty in talking to each other on the table. But despite all the reviews on this, they will not lower the volume for sure. There were some good dance performances too. If you have come here to celebrate anniversary or birthday, let them know and share a good picture in landscape orientation. They will display it on the big screen with your name and you can cut the cake while it's displayed. You can request your choice of song too. You can either bring your own cake or buy it from there 👍 The food was very average and did not taste awesome at all. Except for banjara chicken tikka, all other dishes were very ordinary. We chiefly ordered veg food, so our assumption is that vegetarian is not their forte. You get a plate of salad (cucumber, carrot and...
Read moreDisappointed with the overall experience at Tanatan even thought the food was so good. Had spoken to Shabana and one more guy who called me ( both) and specially told them it’s my wife birthday and please get the pastry ready at 12AM sharp and mentioned to me that we will have a celebration but unfortunately Amit ( manager) left plus the lady who told me she will arrange everything Shabana also left. I went to the person who was serving and reminded him half an hour before then 10 min before that please don’t forget about the cake ( I was suppose to pay) and he said don’t worry it will be done. But unfortunately all the guys forgot and I was waiting that the cake will come to my table as they did for many of the guest priority to me. Then when I got angry there was one lady comes to me after I request the waiter to get the pastry and she is asking my wife ( who’s birthday it was) if she ordered a cake ( such a foolish thing to do as I wanted to make my wife happy and surprise ) at the end after disappointment they brought the pastry but the fun element had already gone and there was no point in apologizing or saying sorry . To summarize when the restaurant is busy no one is bothered to look at you and serve you they only looking at people who order full Bottles but I also did not spent less it was almost 1000 AED not a small amount Attached the photos of what’s up screen shot which i sent to the manager and also to the Shabana which she requested to do get the “case by 12AM. Overall very sad No one bothered to reply nor commented about...
