We ordered the Duo55 (chicken & beef pares). Food Quality: It is good for sharing as they provide generous portions. However, in our opinion, the noodles lack flavor and need improvement. The chicken is too sweet, or perhaps that's its intended taste, as it's my first time trying it. The beef pares was not quite what Filipinos typically expect it to be in terms of taste. However, we thoroughly enjoyed the buko pandan, iced tea, and garlic rice. Atmosphere: It is quite pleasant. The restaurant is clean, and the lighting is subdued. Customer Service: I am not happy in this aspect. I understand they may be busy and tired, but there is a lack of attention to customer service. Upon seating, we were merely handed menus and then served our food without any further interaction. No effort was made to check if we needed anything or if everything was satisfactory. This kind of attentive approach can greatly enhance the dining experience and potentially increase tips. Additionally, we had to repeatedly request our bill. I was inclined to leave a tip out of empathy, having been in their shoes before, but my friends advised against it, feeling it wasn't deserved. I urge the establishment to improve its customer service. Smiling and being approachable can go a long way, and in time, they will reap the rewards of...
Read moreThis place has been recommended to us numerous times and we were not disappointed.
They had a lot of food options, mostly from Hong Kong and Filipino cuisine. We got their appetizer combo (32aed). The calamares was tender and cooked well. I also liked the fried wantons. Least favorite from the platter was the chicken katsu because jt was too dry. The beef mami with laman loob (17aed with a drink) was more Chinese-styled. Herbal tasting broth but not that beefy. It paired well with their chili oil. The peking crispy beef (50aed) was good. Sweet, spicy, and garlicky. The steamed seabass (63 aed with egg rice for 2) was cooked well. Not too salty but still flavorful from the sauce and cilantro. We loved their egg fried rice.
Excited to try their other dishes next time. I think the dishes are worth it with the serving size.
The place is not that big but they could use...
Read moreIn short food is good. Portions are good. But staff and owner as archaic as the dinosaurs. They feign any customer support and you ask for any discounts or promotions they either lie or offer something else. They had a decent manager prior Mr Aaron but now they have useless staff who probably hate their jobs and are forced to be helpful by their ever useless owner who coincidently is the chef himself. In the beginning the concept was great but the owner destroyed it himself by being as stiff as his personality. I will say food is good but if the experience is mindful then what's the point of the food. Take out is better then to enjoy hopeless ambience. Also a piece of advice to the staff, don't pretend to call the manager by pouring drinks for other guests because that's disrespectful and...
