Let me take a moment to express my absolute delight at the unforgettable dining experience I had at the courtyard at Manzil hotel recently. I must say, from the moment I walked through the doors, I was immediately captivated by the ambiance—dim lighting, a distinct odor, and the charming sound of cutlery hitting the floor. Truly, a feast for the senses!
Let's start with the food. The menu, an intriguing collection of culinary experiments gone awry, left me in awe of the sheer creativity involved in creating such tasteless and unappetizing dishes. The mixed grill was so overcooked, it could have doubled as a cutting board. Bravo on achieving such culinary mastery!
Now, let's move on to the service—or lack thereof. I must commend your staff on their remarkable ability to disappear when needed and reappear when not wanted. Their nonchalant attitude and complete disregard for customer satisfaction truly set the tone for an unforgettable evening. The waitstaff's impressive skill of avoiding eye contact and pretending to be busy while customers desperately sought their attention was truly a sight to behold. They have different waitstaff for food, drinks and shisha and neither can take the others order.
The shisha was so bad that I could have bought one from the grocery and made one at home and it would still taste better. And when you ask the shisha staff that you are unhappy; he looks at you as if its your first time and that you do not know what is good and what is bad and that his shisha he has made is the best in the world.
Moreover, the timing of the service was impeccable. I marveled at the artistry behind the waitstaff's ability to make me wait for what felt like an eternity before taking my order, only to deliver a lukewarm plate of disappointment after a marathon of patience-testing intervals. Truly, an exercise in self-restraint and endurance.
As for the overall ambiance, I must say its called background music but not in the courtyard.... here it is blaring loud music, and clattering cutlery was an auditory symphony that perfectly complemented the visual assault of outdated decor and questionable hygiene practices. Who needs a peaceful dining experience when you can have a sensory overload?
In conclusion, I would like to extend my utmost gratitude for providing me with an experience that will forever be etched in my memory. Your commitment to mediocrity, both in culinary expertise and customer service, is truly commendable. I can confidently say that I will not be returning to your establishment, unless, of course, I am in dire need of a reminder of what not to expect from a...
Read moreVery disappointing service. No one welcomed us at the door to find us a table, after waiting for a few minutes we decided to enter and find ourselves a table. After we found one, we were told that table was reserved so we moved to another one. Shisha quality was not good and we had to prompt them a few times. Menu was a piece of paper in very bad conditions, the menu sheet was creased, as if it was used and recycled. No menu QR code available for scan. Definitely not following COVID-19 measures. Ordered the cheese Zaatar and the chocolate fondu. Cheese Zaatar was dry and hard. Feedback given to the waiter, we only received a smile back and we were asked if we wanted to take-away. 20 minutes later, as the fondu never arrived, the waiter informed us that the order was not on the system... 30 minutes later the fondu never arrived as they forgot again. Finally the fondu was given as a take-away. I’ve been coming to this place since 2008 and it was sad and disappointing to see what it is meant to be a 5 star service, falling below the...
