Five Guys Dubai Mall — Restaurant in Dubai

TLDR; Five Guys at Dubai Mall has the worst customer service, if we could give 0 stars, we would. We don't usually make reviews online, but the fact that we are proves just how disappointing our experience was. We sat at one of the tables to save our seat while we waited for our parents because they were the one's with the money to order (for only a few minutes mind you) and we were immediately kicked out to accommodate other people (This was at around 4PM btw). Their reason was that you have to order before you sit but the people who replaced us DIDN'T EVEN HAVE THEIR ORDER YET. How would we have been able to do that if the place was packed???

It was our FIRST TIME at Five Guy's was it necessary to KICK US OUT??? girl we didn't know there was a rule to not sit before ordering, and told us in such a rude way too we get it was packed but we were customers too. And even if we ordered before surely there wouldn't be any seats left.

it doesnt make any sense because we waited outside since the place was packed with people and there were no available seats. mind you we WAITED outside and once we saw an available table we went in and claimed it. we sat there waiting for our parents and we do NOT have any cash on us but this waiter told us to leave the table and order FIRST before sitting? what would be the point? if we went to go order, our seats would automatically be taken since there were many people looking for seats. thats exactly why we sat there and CLAIMED our seat as we waited for our parents because what can we do without cash? i didnt know there was a rule to not be able to sit down and wait even when we had an intention to eat there. its not like we're just sitting there because we just wanna stay and steal peoples seats but we actually came there to eat. we've been planning to eat here for quite a while but this little inconvenience just completely ruined our moods please hire new waiters.

The terrible experience was not limited to just this. Entering the restaurant was already a let down, no greeting, frowns on their faces, it felt like we really weren't wanted there, in summary, it was terribly uninviting. It's understandable if we were just loitering around and had no intentions of eating but that was not the case. We waited only five minutes TOPS and by the time we walked out, our parents were already there. It somehow felt like racial profiling because we were Filipinos and other people of other ethnicities who were dining solo but taking up a table for FOUR when there was a bar seat available were left alone? MAKE IT MAKE SENSE. What was even more disappointing was the person who kicked us out was a Filipino waiter as well. We can understand being tired from working, but this was no way to treat customers. This could have been handled better like let's say, said in a kinder tone (because she said it in the most condescending way) or given us an alternative. Ultimately, the whole experience was humiliating (people were looking at us) and i never want to eat here ever. We came here excited and left with the worst mood. Do better Five Guys.
