We popped in for lunch whilst visiting the Hilton Palm Jumeirah on a busy Saturday in March. Jones The Grocer is part of the Hilton Group so our guest beach day cards were redeemable at the restaurant. It occupies a nice spot on the edge of the beach just off the beachfront boardwalk close to the main Hilton grounds.
There's a reception area just next to the boardwalk, which was staffed. We were quickly shown to an inside table, though there were plenty of tables outside with canopies and umbrellas. The air conditioning inside was cool and crisp. The service, from our cap wearing waiter, was prompt, efficient and friendly; yet not overly so.
The menus were clean as was our booth. The restaurant has high ceilings and a central bar area and serving area. There was a real bustling vibe about the restaurant with staff going about their work quickly and efficiently. Our drinks arrived promptly shortly followed by our meals, a mushroom & truffle risotto, a couple of pizzas including an Italian stallion plus a couple of chicken sliders. All well presented and issue free, cooked just right. The pizzas were certainly better than the one thatvwe had a few days earlier at The Fairmont, better crust and base plus they weren't watery at all, as we found at the Fairmont.
The toilets were on the same level, so accessible for an restricted or disabled users. They too were clean, though a little tight on space.
The atmosphere was good. The large glass panes around the restaurant and open patio areas gave it a larger feel than it probably was. Good food, good service, good job 👏.
We liked our visit to Jones The Grocer.

Read moreI attended your Unlimited Cheese and Wine Night on 2nd December JBR and opted to upgrade to the charcuterie board package. Unfortunately, my experience was far from the standard I expected.
From the start, the service was disorganized. The waiter was unaware of the promotion, argued with me about its existence, and only later acknowledged it after checking. Despite this, we didn’t receive the cheese and wine menu until 20 minutes into the promotion time. Even then, we had to chase down servers multiple times to order our first drink.
The cheeseboard and hot appetizers only arrived 45–50 minutes after the promotion began at 7 PM, which is unacceptable for a time-limited offering. Worse still, every time a glass was empty, we waited at least 10 minutes for someone to notice and offer a refill, which then took another 10 minutes to arrive. On multiple occasions, I had to go to the waiter station myself to request service.
Despite upgrading to the charcuterie board, I was never offered refills on my cheese or meat selection, and it felt as though we were completely forgotten. The lack of attention and care from the staff was deeply disappointing.
I raised these concerns with the host at the entrance, who took down my name but did nothing to address the issue. For the price I paid, the value of the experience was abysmal. The poor service and lack of attention were unacceptable. I could have spent my money elsewhere and received a much better experience for less.
I’m sharing this feedback in the hope that you address these issues for future guests. Until the service improves, I cannot recommend this promotion or your...
