Bal Harbour Beach — Restaurant in Dubai

I tested the Bal Harbour Beach today and my experience is overall disappointing and I will explain why so that improvements can be made for futur customers :

• On weekends, the cost of the beach day pass is 250 AED, fully redeemable on food and beverages which, if the quality was good would be of a great deal considering the average weekend rates in similar location.

• The service was really average, unpleasant from the arrival and rude from the waiter who brought me my order at multiple times. 25 minutes for the bottle of water to arrive while waiting under the sun and 40+ minutes for the food (the beach was almost empty when I arrived so I couldn’t explain it because of the crowd) it’s the first time that I experience this in Dubai ever.

• The quality of the food was really not up to the standard of Marriott hotel, I couldn’t finish my food and no one came to ask me if I needed anything. The waiter complained when he reached that he couldn’t find my sun bed and had to roam around, I felt sorry for him.

• Once you pay your entry fees, don’t expect to have a warm and pleasant service along with good food, you pay for the location only.

• the sunbeds and umbrella are quite dirty and broken - I understand that this can happen but in prime location like this it wasn’t expected.

The vibe is probably more pleasant on the restaurant area but it wouldn’t change much on the experience, hoping that my feedback will also help to improve the service and the food which is not worth the price...

When we reach there was no one on the bal harbour entrance had to wait until someone came but he knows nothing, told us maybe you should go to the hotel entrance to pay and come back but he wasnt sure then he called a colleague asked him what to do so the issue was fixed and we paid finally after 20 minutes of waiting there !!! The location is nice but the service is very very poor, they gave us wireless button as of we press it and someone will come to serve us, then i had to keep pressing to order water around half an hour but no one showed up until i went by myself to get the water from the bar. Then to order lunch had been trying and pressing that worthless button since 2:30 until 3:10 the waiter reached and we did the order finally of a halloumi salad which need 10 to 15 minutes to be prepared and a main dish, then by 3:55 i went to the guys asking for the food because it took so long, and i told them honestly your service is very bad and you need to manage this while the beach is almost empty even and they dont have clients to say that they are busy, so after waiting too long the food came by 4:15 , the salad taste was so bad and the food was without salt at all like...

Hats off to Bal Harbour for a great NYE party! The best beach-side value for families in Dubai that I could find. What you guys did right that I hope you can repeat for next year: excellent music choice that the whole family can enjoy (I have two teenage girls). Do not change it. Many other places get this wrong. However, I would recommend to turn down the volume just a tad bit next time. great customer service, very attentive and friendly. access to the beach the seating arrangement was well thought out, with room for people to move around. The seats were comfortable enough to sit in for long periods of time and the table being the right height for proper eating. So many other places get this wrong too. good selection of foods in the buffet that remained open until midnight. I like the fact that the buffet was not huge but had good variety of foods to choose from in and out access to the West Beach boardwalk lots of other families with kids. The price point was fantastic and truly great...
