Brunch Experience, using entertainer voucher. The most expensive brunch in Dubai with the least amount of food. We were still hungry when we left and went to Irish Village for dinner. See Details Below:
Price: Full price with alcohol package is 495 AED. You cannot use entertainer with this so for 2 persons it is 990 AED.
Price: Softdrink package allows you Entertainer voucher which is 350AED for 2 person, or 175 AED each. With this if you want to drink alcohol, you can upgrade to unlimited Alcohol for 195 AED per person which takes the total price up to 375 AED per person, which is better than full alcohol package of 495 AED per person. Therefore if you use entertainer and upgrade to alcohol package , the total cost per person is 375 AED per person or 750 AED total for Two people.
Food: There is decent supply of chips/nachos 🍟 and guacomole and other condiments to fill you up for the first 1 hour while you wait for a proper meal. For appetiser they brought a small plate of raw shrimp 🍤 with herbs and lettuces to be shared by 3 people. Next plates are mini nachos and fried spring rolls. Just 1 piece each for each guest. Then the mains are just 1 piece of lobster for each guests and then 1 small plate of beef barbeque steak (about 250 gm) again to be shared by 3 people!
Desserts is just a block of ice( sweetened flavoured water) not ice cream and a plate of rice pudding (about 150 gm) to be shared by 3 people!
It is unbelievable that they serve these tiny limited amount of food for a 500 AED ‘Brunch’ !!!
Drinks: Their margaritas are just a mix of mass produced margarita mixer (lemon / lime water) with a hint of alcohol in it. They did not even use Cointreau ( the essential ingredient of a margarita).
It just was not worth the money for the food we got (100 AED worth at best) and the drinks (Lemon juice and a few drops of tequila doesnt make a margarita). I would not recommend this...
Read moreWas really looking forward to a good meal with 3 other friends that were joining for the first time at Maya but got up and left because of terrible hospitality. Was seated at 1900 and were the only people in the restaurant. Asked server about drink specials and he said one free margharita if you have a lemon. So we procured one lemon from the bar and ordered margaritas. He said the promotion wasn't valid because we didn't bring in the lemon. We asked another server and he said the promotion was only for limes--not lemons--so promotion wasn't valid. I told him we plan to have a great night there with lots of food and drinks. He said he couldn't do anything, so asked for manager. Andrea came over, greeted us and told us before we had a chance to say anything that the promotion wouldn't apply to us. We pointed out we were the only people in the place (now almost 1930) and how we intended to spend lots of money on food and drinks. She said there was no way to comp us three drinks unless we bring in 3 lemons (now back to lemons) from outside. We said we'd leave if that was the case and she said so be it. So we got up and left for Pollo Loco. Had a great dinner there and spent AED 494--without any alcohol--only because they don't have any. Moral of the story is, because Andrea would rather lose 1500AED (what our bill would have been at least with alcohol) instead of crediting us for 3 lemons for 3 free drinks they lost us--oh and again we were the only people in the entire restaurant. Finally, we also pointed out that three of us were SPG Platinum and that didn't make any difference with her either. ...

We visited this amazing Mexican restaurant just a few days ago — for Saturday brunch. First of all, I’d like to say that the interior is beautiful, you can see attention to the details in all the decorations and colors — in the dining area and in bathrooms. The menu for the brunch is nicely compiled, and they serve food to your table — everything that there is on the menu. So surely you can try everything they have to offer — cold starters, hot starters, main dish and desert. Also variety of drinks — soft or alcohol depending on your choice. We went with non-alcohol option. I liked guacamole, shrimps, and beef. Actually, everything was delicious, just as usual people have their best favorites, so I mentioned mine. Also there is kids menu with nuggets, quesadillas and fries. The service is at a top level, the waiters are helpful, attentive and everything is done just in time. The visit was not only about the food, it’s more about get together and enjoy delicious food, and ambience, and talk to friends, take pictures in sombreros or without them, to have this feeling of affluence of time — you are not in a hurry, you are here now to enjoy and make memories. I’d really like to...
