From the moment we set foot in Indya by Vineet, it's been nothing short of an exceptional culinary journey. For the last four days, we've been consistently amazed by the authentic flavors, presentations, and the unmatched service.
Syed, the manager, has truly elevated our dining experience. His personalized attention, accompanied by unexpected delightful dishes, has made us feel truly special. His absence was felt today, but it speaks volumes about the mark he's left on us.
A special shout-out to Sachu, who not only served us with grace but also took the time to understand our tastes. On one occasion when we felt the Rajasthani Kachori Chaat didn't quite match our expectations, he promptly introduced us to the Tandoori Potatoes which more than compensated for it. Such gestures showcase his dedication to ensuring we have the best dining experience. His absence today was genuinely felt. Josmi, with her warm greetings, ensures that every entry feels like a welcome back home.
Among the numerous dishes we've savored:
Dum Parda Chicken Biryani: Simply the best biryani we've tasted. Chaat Trilogy: An absolute hit, especially with my parents. Tandoori Potatoes: Introduced to us by Sachu and ended up being a flavor-packed delight. Lamb Seekh Malai: Ordered on all four visits, that should tell you how delicious it is! Red Pepper Paneer & Lemongrass Chilli Coconut Prawns: Exquisite flavors that we thoroughly enjoyed. Butter Chicken: So irresistible that not a single drop was left behind. While most dishes hit the right chords, the Chicken Maharani was a tad off for my palette, but that's the beauty of food, it's subjective.
The gesture of presenting a treat with the starter is a beautiful touch, making the start of each meal memorable.
Today's service, while decent, paled in comparison to the exceptional service of the previous days. It truly highlights the significant role Syed, Sachu, and the entire team play in making Indya by Vineet an unforgettable experience.
To the chefs at the back, your culinary craftsmanship makes us want to come back again and again. To Syed, Sachu, Josmi, and the team – thank you for making our Dubai trip unforgettable. We can't...
Read moreOur reservation was done 3 weeks earlier to our valentines dinner earlier this evening. An absolutely worth it experience
We were greeted and seated relatively quickly in a bustling restaurant, Staff seemed a bit less and busy and we did have to look around a few times to catch someone but this would be my only quip and I’m struggling as I have nothing else to say negatively about this place.
The food was impressive one of the other and the taste, It was rich home food and we loved the catchy names.
We started with appetisers which was prawns and curd rice, A strange started which is usually an end of meal thing but wow, a must try.
Our paneer was as expected, Soft and with a few interesting choice of sauces
Up next, Iddiyapam and chettinad mutton curry, This is the stand out dish at indya and the lightness of the iddiyapam with the tangy zingy mutton curry, Fabulous.
To finish off our mains was a lamb biryani, I feel a restaurant biryani, Nothing special but this doesn’t mean it isn’t good but the earlier dishes were on a different level.
We didn’t have much space for dessert and opted for the cardamom chai which came in a dhaba like tea pot and glasses and naan khatai cookies, which we asked for more and brought them home.
Worth the wait to visit this place and for all we ate, we did have a reasonable bill and of course a few kilos for sure on the tummy.
My only suggestion : Go hungry, Order foolish and you won’t be disappointed.
Cheers
There was a gentlemen as part of the hotel Hasanain, hats of to him for watching us and figuring out that we were trying to take pictures and he helped out and even guided us to another place to get ever more pictures.
Trust the Meridien to be on another level when it comes to...
Read moreIndya by Vineet really took indian cuisine to the fine dine plateau. The satisfaction derived from the standard of food after dining is nearly unmatched.
Loved the taste of every dish ordered at the restaurant with the expception of the dessert.
The Coriander fish Tikka was distinct in flavour, which really stood out.
Lamb biryani was good, but the butter chicken was divine, possibly the best in Dubai ( alongside Asha's).
The only downside was the gulabi gang dessert did not match the standards of the earlier courses, the jelebis were soft and not very crispy, overall however it was decent to eat.
But beyond just the flavour and innovation in the dishes loved the subtle touch of luxury added to the dishes which further elevated the expierence. Most fine dine restaurants focus on presentation, Indya is amongst those few, which also focuses on aspects of the food offered. The velvety finish of the butter chicken with perfect morsels of chicken, the smooth fluffy texture of the raita with the biryani, the velvety smooth chutneys with papad.
These efforts by the team, though subtle, added the extra magic required to seal the...
