Zengo — Restaurant in Dubai

Seriously, this was one restaurant I truly loved. This was their late brunch which starts at 8PM and goes on till early morning. Located at the iconic Le Royal Meridian beach resort and spa. The interiors are fascinating, cool, wooded theme, long bar, ample seating indoors and outside. The Lady DJ blaring, all adding to the excellent vibes all ready. You get your welcome drinks as soon as you are seated and then onward the magic takes place. The food is ample, you can keep getting your refills anytime, all the time. Here they bring the food to you, so for the starters we got the Tuna avocado, Papaya and pomelo salad and seared Salmon. Eeeeshhh these we awesome. The Angry zengo sushi was terrific. The square cut sizes had a great combination and goes well with the siracha sauce. For the hot starters it was veg spring rolls, chicken satay and veg dim sum. These too were a delicious offering, I was looking at a flaw for me to point out, but the more I looked the more I was dissapointed, I could not see any flaw.

The BBQ lamb ribs which was marinated in their special BBQ curry marination was exception. For the Pan Asian restaurant the menu offering was splendid. The ribs were succulent and falling off the bone. The stir fired chicken cashew, pumpkin curry we were a dinners delight. Again the flvouers held up well, no short cuts here but all a pure pleasure. In addition to all these amazing food we were enjoying the staff get into the act of adding further excitement to the evening. Lovely hotel and was greeted by the valet parking then walked into the lobby and asked for directions to the Zengo restaurant. I wish I took his name but he was exceptional and walked us 3/4 the way to the restaurant.

The restaurant had the wow factor. Very picturesque. Warm greeting at reception then we walked up the lit staircase with a floral backdrop and again greeted by name and led to our table outside on the terrace as requested, overlooking the Dubai Eye.

There was a party downstairs with some great music luckily.

Our waiter was Jerrick and he was very polite and on hand to assist. He noticed the little things like my wife dropping her napkin and replacing with a new 1.

We started with the vegetable spring rolls with tofu, shimo noodles, lettuce, sweet plum sauce. We also had the chicken wings which were very small and boneless with coriander and jalapeno sauce. We had the crispy shrimp maki rolls with wasabi tobiko, togarshi mayonnaise. All very tasty and well presented.

As a main I must admit I thought the options could be greater and more vast. Not as much options as I would have liked. I had the stir fried chicken noodles while my wife had the szechuan beef which was beef stirloin very tender with snow peas, baby corn and mushrooms and a small side of white rice. Both very tasty.

Food was served fast and it was in the entertainer so helped the final cost. The portions were quite small and was a little hungry afterwards. Would definitely dine here again. Lovely restaurant...

Ambience: Beautifully designed restaurant. Very lively with an extremely pleasant vibe. What I loved the most was how spacious the place was which allowed a very high level of privacy for each table. Also the use of greenery around the restaurant made it very pleasant and chill. ⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️

Food: Great food, Reasonable portions and Well presented. The food was delicious and the variety of menu was very nice. The only issue for me was the choices of dessert menu. I would personally like to see less of Ginger in the dessert . The dessert menu wasn’t tempting at all hence we did not order any. ⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️
