Recently, I had the pleasure of experiencing the Saturday brunch at Brasserie 2.0 located at Le Royal Meridien Spa and Beach Resort in Dubai Marina. This brunch is truly massive, offering an incredible variety of options to satisfy every craving and entertainment for the entire family.
From the moment you arrive, you are welcomed with a drink and seated either indoors or outdoors. We chose a cozy indoor booth to escape the warm weather. Outdoors, there is a grilling station with fresh fish and meats, along with delicious sauces, roasted potatoes, sweet potatoes, corn on the cob, cauliflower, and more.
Inside, the buffet covers a wide area, segmented by food types. There is an impressive sushi counter with maki, tuna roll, salmon nigiri, and other fresh options. The pasta station is busy preparing made-to-order dishes; I chose a pink sauce with ricotta ravioli topped with parmesan and basil. My daughter enjoyed fusilli with red sauce, mushrooms, and plenty of cheese. Other stations include Thai-style dumplings and North Indian dishes such as dal makhani, butter chicken, biryani, and papads.
The live carving station was a highlight, featuring roast beef with gravy, roast duck, and roast chicken. I particularly enjoyed the roast beef with its rich gravy, served with Yorkshire pudding, mashed potatoes, and steamed vegetables. There is also a cold seafood section with crab legs, lobster, prawns, and dips, along with a vast salad bar offering a wide range of options. The drinks menu includes mocktails, fresh juices, mojitos, and sodas. We sampled strawberry mojitos, lemon mint mojitos, piña coladas, and more.
The dessert section is truly remarkable, and I can confidently say it is one of the largest and most visually stunning I’ve seen in Dubai. It features freshly made donuts, mini desserts such as macarons, tarts, cakes, and my personal favorite, sticky date pudding. The ice cream bar allows you to create custom sundaes with various toppings, while a candy station offers lollipops, gummies, and sweets that bring a nostalgic touch. Dessert options included blueberry cheesecake, Basque cheesecake, strawberry and chocolate cakes, vanilla, carrot cake, cupcakes, crumbles, and plenty of fresh fruit. As someone with a sweet tooth, I found this section to be a true delight.
After indulging in so many treats, we enjoyed made-to-order coffees and teas while listening to live entertainment. Overall, this brunch offers an unmatched variety and a feast for the senses, making it a highly recommended experience for anyone looking to enjoy Dubai’s...
Read moreAlthough it is a self service brunch the staff waiting table and at the food stations are excellent. The wide choice and quality of the food is probably the best among its competitors. The only negative thing to say is that the customer facing management available are either not empowered , or unwilling to listen and act on customer feedback regarding the volume of live bands, DJ music, etc. in the venue. We have visited more than once, been seated in various locations and it has been the same, the music is so loud conversations are limited to the people seated adjacent, or across from where you are seated. I do not have a hearing problem, or an aversion to loud music when that is what I have gone expecting to , or paid to hear (music venue, live concert, nightclub, etc.) I also know that other diners, including friends have also provided feedback to the duty management and requested them to reduce the volume but it never generated a suitable follow up action. I will probably revisit the venue in future if invited by friends , but will not be proposing it as a venue when inviting anyone out. It should be simple enough to ask a cross sectional sample of customers if they are happy with the sound level (at the same time as asking for their feedback on the food) and then adjust to the median accordingly. The 2 star rating for the atmosphere is harsh, but this is intentional in the hope that is will trigger action from an empowered level of management to listen to repeated and consistent constructive feedback from what I know are...
Read moreOne of the best breakfast places in Dubai.
We have been a guest for breakfast a few times. Each time we were impressed with the freshness and quality of the food. From typical Arabic breakfast to European breakfast, there is everything you want here. In addition, a super service of the staff is offered, you are received friendly, the buffet and the dishes are presented personally during a quick tour.
During the tour, allergies and intolerances were pointed out.
On my first visit, I was advised that the scrambled eggs contained milk (lactose). Thereupon, the chef personally took care of the preparation of my scrambled eggs without milk.
But now comes the really impressive thing about my review: After two three months of not having breakfast at the Brasserie and once again spontaneously stopping by to eat, the chef still remembered my intolerance and immediately offered me a scrambled egg without milk. I mean incredible, how can you remember a face and the associated intolerance so well with all the thousands of guests per month.
I was really impressed by your chef, I have never experienced such service in any restaurant in all these years. No matter where else I am, every time I have to explain to the one and the same employee that I do not tolerate milk. But here it is completely different.
Many greetings to the chef, you do a great job!...
