Read moreI recently had the unfortunate experience of dining at Rivas, a Persian restaurant located in Dubai. To put it simply, it was a disappointing and regrettable visit. From the unimpressive food quality to the lack of hospitality displayed by the owner, Mr. Masoud, there was nothing about this establishment that stood out positively.
Let's start with the owner, Mr. Masoud. His demeanor and attitude left much to be desired. He came across as impolite and lacking any semblance of personality. Instead of greeting customers with warmth and a welcoming smile, he seemed disinterested and unengaged. It was clear that customer satisfaction was not a priority for him.
Moving on to the food, it was an absolute letdown. As a frequent patron of Persian restaurants in Dubai, I have come to appreciate the rich flavors and exquisite culinary delights they offer. Unfortunately, Rivas failed to live up to even the most basic expectations. The dishes lacked authenticity and were incredibly underwhelming in taste. The ingredients seemed mediocre and lacked the freshness and vibrant flavors that one would expect from a Persian restaurant.
Moreover, when comparing Rivas to other Persian restaurants in Dubai, it falls significantly short. The lack of attention to detail and care in the preparation of the food was evident. It is disheartening to see a restaurant in a city known for its diverse and exceptional culinary scene fail to deliver on such a fundamental level.
Overall, my experience at Rivas was disheartening. The owner's unpolite demeanor and lack of personality left a sour taste in my mouth, which was only exacerbated by the subpar food quality. I would strongly advise anyone seeking an authentic and enjoyable Persian dining experience to look elsewhere. There are far better options available in Dubai that showcase the true essence of Persian cuisine and provide a more pleasant dining experience overall.
So here my rating from 0 to 10 for the foods that we tried:

The waiter informed us that they have buffet for iftar and it's AED 90 per person and that's all he mentioned. When i asked him what do they serve as main dishes in their buffet, he mentioned that for the main dish we have to choose from the menu, ie a la carte. Even he didnt mention that's gonna be an extra charge. We chose to sit and check their menu since we still have time. After surfing the menu and time got closer to iftar, we decided to choose our iftar from a la carte as we didnt like the appetizers in their buffet and it wasnt worth the AED 90 The appetizers and sweets. Surprisingly before 20 minutes to iftar when we wanted to order, the waiter tells us you can not order a la carte you have to order the buffet plus a la carte. This was the first time i dine in a restaurant where they force their clients to order from the a la carte menu and the buffet. All restaurants from1 star to 5 stars have either option, and if you wanna be the odd one at least communicate it clearly to your clients beforehand. The funny part is that they wanted to charge me for my 2 kids as 2 adults, even this wasn't communicated beforehand. I address my review to the owner/manager, after reading other reviews, apparently you have good food, but you will lose many clients if you don't strive to keep a good...
