Unprofessional manager. Helen did disappoint. Average food.
We arrived at Sarabeth’s at around 12pm and asked to be seated indoors. The manager explained there were 2 tables waiting before us and the waiting time will be around 20min.
As we were with a hungry toddler and as we were not offered anything to entertain our child (colouring books, puzzle or toys..) we explained we will be sitting outdoor and order food WAITING for our indoor table.
Helen, the blond manager, tried to rephrase our demand and said once we’ve been seated outdoors we will be staying there. We both disagreed and insisted we were NOT interested in eating outdoors but will be ordering food and we’ll even start eating until the table indoor will be ready after which the staff will move us indoors. She wasn’t happy but agreed and gave us a little black device that never rang..
The two couple before us were seated indoors, other people came and were seated indoors and we decided to finish our meal and just leave this place.
My husband was looking for Helen for a good 10min and she was no where to be found until we left the restaurant and saw her having a smoke outside.
She was startled to see us and when my husband expressed his dissatisfaction she made a series of excuses:
To sum up, Helen did what she wanted to do from the beginning which is once you sit outdoors her staff won’t move you indoors if you ordered food. Maybe it’s too hard for waiting staff to do their job …or maybe we were actually eating at Helen’s house where it is mandatory to follow her rules because the food came for free????
Talking about food, it was ok; my chicken salad was average, the frittata dry and the brownie was extremely sweet. Nothing special to come back for especially not for the...
Read moreThe environment is good but little noise because outdoors are located in front of the main street. I went for BF with some friends, portions are small. I tried classic benedicts not remarkable and portions are extremely poor, small eggs in smallbagels with salad not any complementary and to be honest tasteless. Pancakes and waffles with a good portion and presentation but again tasteless even with the syrup and fruit. Hot and cold drinks overpriced and in small cups. At the end I paid a costly bill not satisfied. To complete the expensive and tasteless experience I parked my car in the citywalk next building for that reason the waitress lady refused to apply the validation of my ticket, So I had to return very upset because I was not going to pay an additional 80 dhs for self parking, Fortunately, other well trained staff apologize and validate the ticket after my stressful long walking. To be honest not an overall good experience. I wouldn't recommend or...
Read moreSarabeth Dubai is nothing like NY. Keep your expectations extremely low as nothing tastes the same. It’s just a very mediocre breakfast place dressed up as something fancy.
We ordered a bunch of items as we were a big group. Regular Pancakes were overcooked and chewy. Lemon and Ricotta pancakes had no lemon and ricotta in sight (apparently it was in the batter). Hands down, McDonald’s pancakes are waaaay fluffier. Granola was stale and club sandwich bread and lettuce smelled like meat. We went there hungry yet unfortunately we were not able to finish most of the items we ordered.
Upon questioning, the staff wasn't able to answer about the quality and thou the manager was around, she didn’t seem to be interested in interacting with the customers or walking up to ask us if things were okay.
Save your appetite, time and money. Save yourself disappointment. Don’t bother...
