Sloane's — Restaurant in Dubai

I am a big fan of the food at Grosvenor House and Sloane’s is one of my favorites for a hearty meal with family. I tried their Iftar last weekend and was happy and satisfied with what i ate. I was blown away by the variety of Salads, Appetizers, Meats, Mains & Desserts .

I started with some salads and sushi. I love the freshly made sushi along with some Sriracha sauce mixed with spicy mayo. Although it’s a very odd combination but it pairs extremely well.

After that I went for some meats which were freshly grilled on order. I generally order some steaks and lamb chops but this time I also ordered lamb kebab and some prawns. The steak was Prepared medium and tasted really juicy. The lamb chops were prepared medium well and I love the flavour of fresh herbs on it. The lamb kebab was also prepared medium well and it tasted amazing with mint chutney. The prawns were juicy And tasted extremely well with sweet chilli sauce.

After enough protein intake I tried the pakoras along with some hot Mezze like falafel, kibbeh & samosas. I also tried some chicken kebabs from the Indian section.

They had some very interesting dishes for their main courses like thai red duck curry, Chicken roulade, chicken and lobia casserole, Slow cooked lamb leg with prune sauce etc. I like the fact that they had some different dishes which I haven’t tasted anywhere else and they all tasted good.

After finishing my mains I went to check out the desert section which was very lavish to. This was probably the only place where I could find something suitable for me because of my dietary restrictions. Do you had various options from Middle Eastern deserts to western deserts as well as Indian deserts. They also had a separate live counters for Knafe and snow cones. I enjoyed most of what I eat And my favourites were the date pudding , rasgulla, knafe & snow cone.

The service has always been on point And that for me is a deal breaker.

I always recommend this place to everyone whether it’s for Iftar or their Friday brunch.

Enjoyed the buffet dinner at this restaurant very much. The layout of the buffet was convenient unlike some other outlets here where one has to walk from one end of the huge dining saloon to the other to get your choice of dishes. The dishes were well laid out and they were served by the chefs themselves. Guests had to stand a few feet away from the serving counters which were shielded with perspex sheets alround. All COVID precautions were observed strictly. Guests had to wear mask when they left their Tables to make a selection of the Buffet. Tables were well spaced out. The support staff was attentive and prompt in getting your BBQ/grilled food to your Table . Salad, sushi, starters, mains ( italian, indian, continental, BBQ station) cheese and dessert selection was good. The director of operations Anthony Fernandes visited the guests at their Tables and personally enquired about our impression/experience. Our Steward Arjun was friendly and attentive as well. The buffet did include water which is a a welcome addition. Spirits and wines were well priced as well. The seating on the verandah was enjoyable at this time of the year giving a good view of the yachts steaming by and the skyscrapers towering above you. All in all an enjoyable evening was had by us. My wife and I attended the Saturday brunch at sloane’s and were not disappointed, the seafood selection was exceptional we had a selection of king crab, Mediterranean prawns and lobster, there was also caviar and raw salmon and tuna which I must say was delicious not to mention a good selection of sushi, the lobster was also available cooked Thermidor and served at the table, the selection of meat was excellent from beef wellington to roasted selections plus you can choose a steak and lamb chops from the raw section and have the chef cook to your preference, good choice of salads and veggies not to mention delicious desserts! I would recommend this brunch for a more classy experience, we were able to have conversation at the table without loud music, our server was Tristan and he was professional and attentive, before we left we spoke to the manager Chandru Thangaraj to compliment him on the excellent food and service at this restaurant.
