Nice ambience and beach seating area. However this place has the worst hospitality and customer service we ever experienced in Dubai. From the beginning until the end we were treated in an unprofessional and unwelcoming manner by one of the staff members. As for our orders, all our drinks tasted like water with ice cubes and a slice of lemon absolutely shocking our watermelon juice also tasted watered down but to make matters worse the way we were harassed and made to feel unwelcome is unacceptable. After speaking to someone whose title was captain we were told that he would speak to the manager and have him contact us as he wasn’t available that night. Two days went by and they didn’t contact us. We went again, to see if it was just a bad shift and not a common thing at tamoka. lo and behold, some staff member must have spotted us and informed their entire staff crew at every level and they kept sending different staff members to give us different warnings and sense of being unwelcome. At one point I had my camera facing me and I was recording myself and in my camera view there is nobody in my vicinity apart from my face and the big plants behind me in addition there were barely any people here at this time and they sent security to tell me I cannot record for peoples privacy. I asked if it’s their policy because I have seen many people holding their phones up and clearly recording their entire surroundings and no security told them to stop recording and I have my camera facing me not showing any view or people. This was obviously more targeted harassment by tamoka staff crew. Then they sent a woman to come with a clipboard to ask for our details after hours of already being there. What an absolute shocking way to treat paying customers their entire approach is aggressive and ignorant and these people have zero awareness of a thing called personal space and privacy. Imagine sitting and wanting space and privacy and someone standing right in front of you with their arms folded looking at you and you have already been made to feel unwelcome. Very unprofessional discriminatory unwelcoming and inconsiderate behaviour by some of these staff members. The manager which we didn’t know was the manager at the time as he doesn’t have a tag was pretending to be our waiter and just observing us he was just standing next to our table like security watching our every move and listening to everything we say. Before leaving we found out he was the manager and we told him our experience and overall he did not seem to genuinely care or take our experience seriously or acknowledge that as paying customers we should not be treated this way. I regret spending money at this place just to be treated terribly and made to feel unwelcome and indifferent. Do not believe these management responses to some of the reviews about contacting them to discuss your experience. They will do absolutely nothing for you neither will they acknowledge your experience. Their responses are just a pretentious disingenuous marketing gimmick for potential customers who read reviews. Hark! What noble halls dost Ritz inhabit, wherein the weary traveler may find solace and grandeur entwined. From the threshold of the hostelry to the sacred table whereon mine feast was laid, all bespoke an air of extravagance and refinement most rare. Yea, ’tis a bastion of constancy, where the weary soul may trust in excellence as the morning trusts the sun.

The fair maiden Vivian, hailing from the storied lands of Greece, did serve with grace that might make angels weep. With manners as soft as a gentle zephyr and attentiveness beyond all measure, she made of me not a mere guest, but a monarch upon mine own repast. Her courtesy did gild the evening with warmth, and for such ministrations, she hath my boundless praise.

Yet, alas! Though the stage was set for triumph, fickle fate did cast shadows upon my feast. The chickpea and onion bread, robust beyond reckoning, proved itself no humble accompaniment, but a meal most formidable, fit to vanquish even a valiant appetite. A morsel sufficed to sate curiosity, yet to conquer its bulk was folly indeed.

Then came the beef from the ribs, a dish of savory delight, yet marred by cruel mischance—for in its midst lurked a treacherous piece, soured beyond salvation. Ere I might revel in the fullness of its flavor, my course was halted, and the plate returned, a sacrifice to the gods of misfortune. Undeterred, I did turn to beef upon the skewer, which sang upon the tongue with a melody of tenderness and fire-kissed splendor. But lo! Fortune, in some cruel jest, did decree that the final morsel should bear the same woeful taint as its predecessor.

Though I asked not for recompense, for the feast was in truth a delight, let it be said that vigilance must ever be the watchman of the kitchen. Let no such shadow fall upon another’s joy, lest the name of Reeds be whispered not with reverence, but with lament.
