Horrible ?? Where do I even start! Since the receptionist arrived, she was super rude, not welcoming at all, barely spoke to me. I had reserved a room for 6 people, all women, and when I arrived at the reception, she told me this was my room and put me in a mixed room for 12 people! I got upset and told her that this was not what I had reserved/paid for, and she said that's what they had available. I got even more upset and asked how it was possible when I had already reserved and paid for the room, and she wouldn't even respond. She ignored me and told me to sit down and wait while she spoke with the "manager." Later, they offered me a mixed room for 8 people, and again, I told her this was not what I had reserved or paid for, that they should return my money. They only refunded part of it and told me I needed to contact Hostelworld to get the rest back since they had offered me a room and I didn’t accept it, even though it wasn’t the one I reserved. I showed them that on Hostelworld it still showed that the room for 6 women was available, and they told me it wasn't their problem that the website wasn’t updated. They started responding to me even more rudely, saying it was now my problem, not theirs. Worst...

Read moreThe Lunar Hostel Plus is an amazing little oasis in Dubai (In the JBR district). The hostel is situated on the 6th floor of the Sadaf 8 building, and it's not like typical hostels in Europe and elsewhere – this is a huge apartment that has been converted into a hostel, and the people and staff here are incredibly friendly, it really feels like a small family, something that quite honestly felt really nice in a city as commercial as Dubai. Shaba at the front desk is very kind and helpful, and everything is honestly as smooth as can be. And the price is incredible for it's location – There's a 24 hour supermarket and 24 hour Subway restaurant here in the residence, and JBR marina is literally around the corner (you could take an elevator...
