But what truly made the difference was the service. I want to give special thanks and recognition to JB and Ann, who were simply the best. Friendly, attentive, professional, and always with a genuine smile. They made us feel at home and showed a level of hospitality that is hard to find nowadays. Without a doubt, they are among the best servers I’ve ever met. The highlight of the evening was when they presented the Joy Embassador, which was not only a delicious dish but also served with such care and attention that it made the experience even more special. GRAB SOME HOT SAUCE…

I am still on the hunt for good tacos in Dubai. Having lived here now a year and relocating from South America, I’ve tried a couple spots but have been disappointed each time. The flavors of good South American street food I just think don’t translate well to middle eastern kitchens. I had good hopes for Taqado as a concept of the popular American chain Chipotle it had such promise.

I found myself wishing the guacamole had a bit more lime and the meat had a bit more seasoning. It was too conservative for my tastes and could have been bolder. They did however have the good hot sauce, adding this fixed it up a bit. The crunch of the shells and the tortilla chips were perfect, the cheese was spot on, but the seasonings and salsas just fell short. Even the “spicy” salsa just tasted like watery medium rojo sauce.
