I’m a regular customer at Tim Hortons and come here every day because I genuinely enjoy their drinks and appreciate the peaceful environment—it’s my go-to spot to work and relax.
However, I wanted to share my recent disappointment with the newly introduced internet policy. As per the new system, customers are given a Wi-Fi code valid for two hours. I was initially told by one staff member that I could request a new code after the two hours were up, which seemed fair. But when I did so later, a different employee was about to provide a second code, only to be stopped by another staff member who insisted that I would need to make another purchase to receive it. This same employee then contradicted himself and said, “I’ll give it this time.”
This inconsistency in communication is frustrating. More importantly, it feels unfair—especially when I noticed other customers being given multiple codes without issue. If there is a policy in place, it should be clearly defined and applied equally to everyone. Mixed messages not only impact the customer experience but also create unnecessary tension.
I will be emailing the branch owner with more specific feedback, as I still value this location and hope to see some improvement. I really wish they would either align the team on one fair policy or reconsider how this new system is...

This is my first time with Tim Hortons, me and my boyfriend ordered one each big drink with 3-4 pcs of donuts and one each sandwiches then we sit down to play board game quietly with no disturbing noise. Then one staff approached us to stop said it’s not allowed as per policy. I asked to show us where it is written or policy manual books and he said there’s nothing physical to see here but they know of it.
I told them that it is not playing cards or gambling but he just said any activity is not allowed inside here.
I was already annoyed when the staff told us to stop playing, but my boyfriend quietly put our things away, and we just sat there on our phones, eating. Then, I noticed a customer smoking inside the café. I kept an eye on the staff, expecting them to say something—but five minutes passed, and no one did.
Was it because of my race? Why did they tell us to stop playing but ignored someone openly smoking inside?
I finally walked up to the counter to inform them, and their reaction was exactly what I expected—giving me attitude before I even said a word. But the moment I pointed at the guy and told them he was smoking, they suddenly changed and apologized. Too little, too late.

From the moment I walked in, Revi greeted me with a warm smile and a friendly welcome that set the tone for my visit. She was efficient in taking my order and made sure I felt valued as a customer.
Yogesh was equally impressive. He took the time to recommend some of the seasonal specials and went above and beyond to ensure my coffee was prepared to perfection. His attention to detail really stood out, and he obviously takes pride in his work.
Finally, Imam and Yubadi rounded off my experience with his excellent customer service. He was quick with my order and even offered to customize my sandwich just the way I like it. His friendly demeanor made my day a little brighter.
