Tribes Mall of The Emirates — Restaurant in Dubai

One of the worst fancy resturants I have been to. I was really surprised by how inconsiderate and poorly trained the waiter was. I was greatly disappointed with waiter's behaviour and ignorance while serving. I had ordered a steak medium rare with mashed potatoes. As it turn out they give a complimentry loaf of bread along with some butter, which was pretty good but not par my expectations. The bread was served almost 10mins after ordering- which I believe is a lot of waiting time. Now the time does not really matter what really matters is the waiter got 4 loafs of bread for 7 people "what??" However we asked for more as we had the right and got 2 more. Once our main course got in, I was really shocked by their presentation, no food presentation whatsoever, just an edge of corriander beside the steak. Also I had ordered mushroom cream sauce which never came to me with the food. Now without complaining anymore since I was hungry I started off with the mashed potatoes, actually pretty amazing. Then I tried eating my steak the moment i ate the steak I realized it was going to be a long day. The steak was cold, it was not even mildly hot- it was just cold. I had to call the waiter who had still not gotten my sauce to do something about the cold steak, eventually it wasn't just me but 2 of my other friends who ordered steak had the sam problem. We gave our steaks and waited around 30 mins from the time we had ordered. When the waiter got us the steak back it was awfully cold again just for me this time, and the waiter never stayed to ask if everything was fine, I had to turn back search for the waiter and call him to atleast take a feedback and leave, being kind I handed him the steak, then he left off showing a surprised face as if I was just a troublesome customer. When he came back with the plate he kept the plate and just left without asking us for anything or taking any feedback from us, we needed a bottle of water for which we had to ask him. The third time the steak was hot but it cost me the medium rare (fyi they got me the same steak everytime each time it got smaller). After having the food we asked the waiter to get us the bill and wet tissues, we waited for around 10mins and then I was really ticked off. I asked for the manager and told him not only how poor his service was, but also his food quality was. I was terribly dissapointed. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because the mashed potatoes and the manager was very polite and gave us 20% off on our bill and gave his card asking us to visit once again and discover a totally different side of their service. My family been going to This restaurant since they opened . We have been coming back ever since , we celebrated every occasion, some of the staff are like friends to us . We saw the management changes , people leave and new ones come . Years of memories. I never thought the day will come that I will be extremely disappointed like today .

We went for dinner to celebrate my daughter’s 18th birthday ( we celebrated almost every year of all my kids birthday with them ) .

1- food took So long to arrive .

2 - appetizers and mains all arrived together most of which were cold . We asked the server to hold on with the mains so we can eat the appetizers and the mains stays warm . ( no idea why he decided to ask them cook everything together ) !!.

We finished out appetizers and ask to bring the mains , took a whole and arrived cold !

3- my stake was simply bad I wish I took a picture of it .

Not seasoned . Felt like eating a raw cow .

4 - since we arrived we informed them it’s my daughter’s birthday and we told them we want the drummers to celebrate with us as we were used . To our surprise, they told us they left !!

But we told you , and the waiter came saying he wanted to ask me in-front of my daughter about it , but it’s a surprise so how !

5- birthday desert; my daughter went to get something so when it arrived I told him to keep it just few minutes . ( not even a candle ) !!!

When she came , he said I will make a new one , it took almost 20+ minutes I asked twice for it .

When I got up to leave , he comes with the desert ! Although I told him to cancel it due to the slow service .

6- It was a struggle to ask for the receipt as well .

And guess what they charged me for a desert I didn’t have . What a shame . Not only they ruined the birthday dinner for my daughter , food was cold , service was slow and horrible .

I have no Doubt this place...

I’m not sure who owns Tribes now, but it is definitely not the Tribes I visited and loved years ago. Arrived and asked for a table outside. Was told it would be two minutes. No problem. Was escorted outside and was told to randomly sit (separating a party of four) while we waited for a table to be ready. Not sure why we were escorted outside for a table that was not ready. When the table was ready, we were escorted to our table as the show started. One of the reasons I chose to dine here. Finally seated. Ordered our drinks and food. The bread that arrived was lovely in appearance but held nothing yo be desired in taste. My sons ordered burgers and there was no complaint there but they are boys so 🤷🏽‍♀️. My mom ordered chicken pops and a salad. The chicken pops had more gristle than meat. She stated it was hit or miss for each one she had. The salad was okay. I ordered the Moroccan chicken. The presentation of the meal was lovely. I had to send the mashed potatoes and asparagus back because they were ice cold. I tried to enjoy the chicken as I waited for my mashed potatoes. The chicken was flavorless. Grilled but didn’t do anything for tastebuds. I was completely underwhelmed to say the least. The mashed potatoes and asparagus were great once they arrived. That’s what I ended up having for dinner. Asked for the chicken to packed as a takeaway.
