The first time I came to this restaurant, Hlaing was also there. His service was excellent — the food was served quickly, and everything went smoothly. However, on the following 2–3 visits, it seemed like Hlaing was on vacation because I didn’t see him. Other staff served our table, but the food came out very slowly. I ordered several items, and they first brought out the salad and a few other things. I had also ordered sashimi, but it didn’t arrive for over 20 minutes. I had to ask the waiter why the sashimi hadn’t been served, and only then did they check with the kitchen, who apparently hadn’t even prepared it.
At that time, the restaurant wasn’t even busy — just 3 or 4 tables — so I could understand delays if it was packed, but this wasn’t the case. After that experience, I stopped coming. It wasn’t just me — my friends had similar experiences. Even when we made a reservation in advance, informing the restaurant how many people would come, the food still took a long time to be served, and we were really hungry. It made me feel like I didn’t want to come back again.
Although I paid for the meal and genuinely enjoy the food at your restaurant, the slow service and sometimes impolite attitude from some staff were very disappointing. Once, when I came to eat, the way a server placed food on the table was extremely casual and disrespectful. I’ve always been respectful to every staff member and never wanted to complain, because I know that a complaint could cause someone to lose their job — and I don’t want to be the reason for that.
This time, my friends and I decided to give it another try and have a gathering at your restaurant again — luckily, Hlaing was working that day. I was very happy to see him because his service is truly excellent. He always pays attention to what customers need, immediately asking if we want to order anything else. He notices when we’re looking for something or waiting for a dish and takes action right away. The food also came out quickly.
I hope the manager or owner sees my feedback and gives Hlaing more opportunities — he really deserves it. I even thought to myself, if Hlaing ever leaves, I wouldn’t feel the need to come back to this restaurant anymore. There are many sushi restaurants in Dubai that I can choose from, especially those that offer great service. But now that Hlaing is back, I will continue dining at your restaurant — and I’ll especially come when I know he’s working. For Hlaing I will give Service 5star if another person I will be...
Read moreI normally don’t do reviews but, I Recently visited this Japanese restaurant expecting a premium dining experience, but unfortunately, it was incredibly disappointing — both in service and quality. The restaurant offers two "grades" of Wagyu (A5 and A4) at different price points, but in my honest opinion, it’s hard to believe they’re offering actual Wagyu, let alone both types. There was no clear display or distinction between the two options. Anyone familiar with Wagyu knows how expensive it is — even a small 10x3 cm piece retails at 133 AED at Wemart. Offering all-you-can-eat Wagyu for 200–250 AED per person is highly suspicious, even with wholesale pricing. Service was the most frustrating part of our visit. We waited 35 minutes for mojito mocktails, and only got them after checking in again with the waitress. The sushi boat we ordered (which still had 3 large pieces left) was cleared away without asking — and only afterremoving it did Ms. Lai ask if we were done. Dessert — which was just scoops of ice cream — took another 30 minutes, again needing a follow-up. There was also an unpleasant interaction involving one of my guests. Ms. Lai asked unnecessary, invasive questions about their nationality, which I found extremely disrespectful. Regardless of background or appearance, if someone is paying 250–275 AED per person, they deserve basic courtesy and professional service. Lastly, the so-called "Wagyu" beef served was unseasoned, thinly sliced meat you’d expect at a basic hotpot spot — not a premium steakhouse. There was no flavor, no salt, pepper, or effort made to elevate the experience. For 530 AED for two people, this was absolutely not worth it. As a group of six, we were all left disappointed by the poor service, long wait times, and questionable food quality. I wouldn’t recommend this place, especially for anyone looking for an authentic Wagyu experience or expecting...
Read moreTo be honest, I didn’t enjoy my meal today—especially because of the service, which made me feel really uncomfortable. I chose the 109 all-you-can-eat option. When placing my order, the female staff member just listened at first without writing anything down, and only started jotting things down at the end while repeating my order in a very unclear and disorganized way.
After the food started coming, several items I ordered were missing. I had to remind them again a second time. There were many female staff in the back chatting, but what’s the point of having so many if they don’t actually take the orders properly? They even repeated back my order asking, “So this is what you ordered, right?” but in the end, those items never came. So what was the point of ordering from them in the first place?
Also, the food came really slowly. I ordered the tamagoyaki (Japanese omelet) right at the beginning, reminded them 3 or 4 times, and it only arrived at the very end of my meal. Some dishes came in such small portions that I had to reorder again—and again, the staff’s attitude made me hesitate. I was very polite and always said “please” and “thank you,” but this whole experience was just terrible.
I had invited a friend out for a meal, and honestly, it was quite embarrassing. At the beginning, our table was basically empty, and when the food finally arrived, it was only a few tiny dishes. We had to place a second round of orders, but even then, most of them never came.
All I can say is: thank you for this dining experience—but I won’t be...
