Visited in September 2023. Cote Brasserie in Bath exceeded all expectations with its exceptional service, inviting ambiance, and delectable cuisine. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted warmly by the staff, creating a welcoming atmosphere that set the tone for the evening. The reasonably priced set menu offered good options, but our attention was immediately drawn to the Poulet Grille mains and the Salmon fishcake starter, both on the Prix Fixe menus. Both dishes were prepared to perfection. The chicken was succulent and flavorful, cooked to tender perfection and paired perfectly with a delightful sauce that elevated the dish to new heights. It is a favourite of mine and my ‘go to’ when dining at a Cote. The salmon fishcake was a true delight. The service throughout the meal was impeccable, with attentive staff ensuring that our needs were met promptly and courteously. The ambiance of the restaurant was charming and cozy, creating the perfect backdrop for a memorable dining experience. Overall, our visit to Cote Brasserie was nothing short of exceptional. The combination of delicious cuisine, reasonable prices, and outstanding service make it a must-visit destination.

We really enjoyed our meal here. Came to celebrate our 9th wedding anniversary. Unfortunately we were not told in our booking that we would only have the table for 90 minutes due to this we felt rushed and skipped on courses a poor decision from head office hardly fair on the staff either. My main meal was pork Belly it was divine 10/10 my husband had the ribeye and he was very happy with it cooked to his liking. I opted for the Mont blanc from the festive menu for dessert it was such a disappointment 1/10 bought in meringue very little chestnut and cream, chocolate drops which were more like what you'd melt down for tempering. Cote should improve this or take it off the menu. I did let the server know of my displeasure, alas I still paid full price for it. Our drinks however were well made and the wine was excellent, staff were very friendly and efficient especially the chap serving the drinks. So close to getting 5 stars.

I'm a big fan of Côte, I love their food and their restaurants, and have had the pleasure of visiting the one in Henley-on-Thames and Winchester. Côte Bath is certainly one of the nicest locations, set in beautiful Milsoms Place. They have several different levels as well as an outdoor terrace when the weather is nice. We visited for a family birthday as a party of 6, and I couldn't fault the food or the service - both were exemplary. I started with the tomato tart which was light and flavoursome, followed by the chicken salad, which was very well-flavoured. The wine selection at Côte is very good and reasonably priced for the quality. I certainly enjoyed my pre-dinner Negroni, as well as the wine! I find Côte has 'got it all', whether you're looking for something casual or something special, it appeals to all. I'll certainly be returning.

Unfortunately, Since the manager Maria left. The standard of service and food has dropped. After spending a good few thousand pounds in Cote, we decided that it would be a great idea to book a table for 9 for our wedding day meal. My partner, e mailed three weeks prior to ask for the table downstairs in the window and explained there would be 9 of us. No E mail was returned, so she rang and confirmed the mail and spoke with the manageress to make certain. On our special day we arrived to find the tables we had asked for were taken by other people. To avoid any confusion or further embarrassment we decided to just sit where they put us, which was stuffed into a corner ( Quite difficult to do when one of you is in a wheelchair. There was absolutely NO special mention or treatment by the staff at all and they seemed irritated and very unprofessional that day .. We ordered desert and a man took our order .. He was abrupt, rude and exactly the opposite in his manner to Maria ( Who was at all times proficient, professional and smiley. All 9 of us noticed his manner snd mentioned it. When it came to pay the bill the internet was down ( so we couldn’t even pay .. I got home that night and felt really angry and it really upset my party. Manager said he would ring at 9pm .. He actually called at 10.00 pm. I explained I wasn’t happy with him or the service we had received and he promptly halved the bill. Which In consideration ( that was all it was worth ) .. I wasn’t going to react or send in any reviews ( But surely if you have regular customers that spend good money and are willing to have a wedding party there , then surely you would spend a bit more time with their requests??… Answer e mails, smile, act in a professional manner …For this reason, We will not be returning to Cote.. Please, don’t bother with the normal reply of “ We are sorry and will use this mail in the future to get it right … Because it’s the staff and management that make a restaurant and our wedding day has been and gone .. You should’ve acted better than you did… You didn’t and you got it...

I booked a table for 2 for my 22nd birthday. I had been looking forward to it all week, I have eaten at cote many times before and have always enjoyed my meals but last night was surely the worst experience I've ever had. When we arrived, no one was even sure where we were sitting. We were seated and met with our waitress, who was so incredibly rude to both myself and my mum. When ordering, I asked for the passion in Paris cocktail, after about 5 minutes of waiting the waitress returned to tell me that they didn't have the ingredients for it. I said that's fine, it happens often and opted to just drink water. We then ordered our food, I had the steak frites and my mum chose the salmon. My mum has a dairy allergy so didn't have the bernaise sauce. When our food arrived, my steak was literally grey in colour and pink inside even though I'd asked for medium rare. I sent the steak back and the second steak I got was just as bad, completely grey in colour, complete lack of flavour and just cooked horribly. I complained and we got the meal on the house in the end, but I fear that doesn't make up for the complete lack of experience. I had somewhere else booked and changed my mind to go to cote instead and now I wish I hadn't. It completely ruined my birthday, I didn't even have anything to eat for my dinner and I left hungry. We were offered desserts but I was completely put off after the two inedible steaks. A couple next to us seemed to have the same problem with their beef so there was obviously something up. Just incredibly disappointed, wasn't worth the travel from Bristol or London for my mum. I Definitely...

Have been to many Cote Brasseries and thought it was a safe bet. On arrival, the restaurant was full and clearly they were struggling with the stress of a busy service. Waited a little while to be asked about drinks, then we ordered. The waitress was quite shouty when the food arrived, raising her voice unnecessarily as she was holding very hot plates - may have been better to find out who the plates were for before picking them up? We all got served and immediately I could smell fish after the plate was put in front of me. I had ordered the fillet steak. It was clearly not good, so I returned it and ordered Sea Bass, but by the time it came, my party had finished and I had lost my appetite. We weren’t charged for both my meals which is fair enough. Overall, not a pleasant experience and has put me off going to another one. It was a shame the chef didn’t pick up on the off smell of the meat and the management didn’t show more interest in improving the situation. Will not be visiting another Cote Brasserie.

In response to the Management reply, I would like to point out that a ‘discount’ was not given to us. We couldn’t have been expected to pay for a meal which was inedible due to the meat smelling foul, and unfortunately the replacement meal came out too late and my appetite had long gone after the first experience. We only paid half the service charge which is discretionary anyway. Clearly, this response from the management was no better than...
