Called in here for a Sunday lunch while visiting Bath. The staff were nice but the service was very slow. I waited over 25 minutes for my starter of beer battered anchovies, which were tasty and a bit different, but absolutely swimming in oil out the fryer - they would have benefited from being properly drained on a j cloth. The roast itself was a generous portion, I had porchetta which was succulent, with crisp crackling and a wonderful homemade apple sauce. The roast potatoes were a bit of a letdown, quite soggy and infirm. They would have benefited from a quick, refreshing dunk in the deep fryer to crisp them up. The Yorkshire puddings were also flat as a pancake. The greens and mashed carrots/turnip was nice. After the meal, we were sat with empty plates for another 20 minutes before they cleared the table - it wasn’t particularly busy and they had lots of staff on. It was £20 each for the roast, which wasn’t too bad for the amount of food but I don’t think I’d be in a hurry to go back. There was also a lot of dust on the mirrors and soft furnishings, giving the impression the place could use a much needed deep clean. There was pretty much no vibe to the place, with the feeling it was a chain pub similar to a weatherspoons. The staff were all very friendly and polite, and were able to recommend some of the beers from their brewery. I think with a couple of tweaks it could be a lovely neighbourhood boozer, sadly it was decidedly average.

Went for a roast dinner here today and got sat down in one of the back rooms. We didn't get any menus upon seating and nobody came to see us for 10 mins. When they did they didnt realise we didnt have menus so wanted to take the order. We ordered some drinks. They then bought the food menu back and we ordered food. Took another 10 mins for drinks to arrive. When food arrived which was in honesty relatively promptly, my friends pork roast was lukewarm so had to ask for some more gravy to make it warmer. My sirloin beef roast was unfortunately very fatty so had to leave a lot and not much meat at all which is poor for a £17.95 roast. No check back during the meal so we told them at the end and they minused 20% off the bill. Quite poor, won't be going back due to this and slow service. They seemed a bit all over the place with not much experience.

A low fuss, chilled out, nice vibes pub that felt more like the inside of someone's house, it was so homey. Was lucky enough to get a table right in front of the TV in a little nook and cranny at the end of the bar. We ordered 4 vegan sides/sharers instead of main meals and so glad we did because each one was amazing! The vegan nachos were piled high it was more than enough for 2. Polenta fries are a 'must-try'. The quality of the food gave the impression that some thought and TLC had gone into the menu and this can be quite hard to come by as a vegetarian/vegan so you know you're onto a winner when you've got a variety of tasty options. We tried the lager that was brewed in Bath and it was absolutely delicious. Could have happily stayed there and chilled out for the rest of the evening if we didn't have to drive back to London :(

Highly recommended! Lovely friendly staff, great prices and delicious food! All so, the place is very modern and specialises in ciders, I recommend you get the cider platter (shown in picture), the peach flavour was the best one for me personally. Funny side story - We were sat outside eating a lovely pizza 🍕. Someone’s food is on its way to the customers outside next to us, we witness this hugeeee! Seagull swoop down and steal the persons pizza right out of staffs hands and fly off. Of course, the staff gave them another one which was kind of them! Just be careful of the cheeky seagulls 😂

Very enjoyable! The burger and the chicken chimichuri (God knows how that's spelled!) were above our expectations. Really very tasty! Best we have had since coming back to the UK.The staff were lovely and very attentive, too. We were very happy that our dog was allowed in, as well, as we thought he wouldn't be (they were full outside, where we thought he might have been allowed, and we were hungry! He was even given a bowl of water. Thank you 🙏).Not everyone is as welcoming as this place, especially on a very busy, hot, sunny Saturday afternoon. We would come back and recommend!

My wife, younger brother, our local Bristol friend, and I came to take a stroll through Bath and found this location. We're originally from Chicago and we just loved it here. I think it's mainly the environment. The pubs here have their individual style to them. Drinks were easily ordered at the bar and the group enjoyed them quite a bit. Bath being as beautiful as it is has plenty of pubs that each have their own history. I'm sure glad we managed to stop by here to enjoy it for a short while. Hope to be back soon.
