A lovely atmosphere with lovely staff Javi who served us even though we did not have reservations. The location is very hidden but we found it on google and decided to try it! We had ali oli with black garlic, shrimp paste special item, albóndigas and tortilla and we had a wine and an non alcoholic beer. So the food was nice but felt it would have been nicer to have some images per item so we knew what we were expecting. Javi gave us a lot of advice which was lovely! The little problem came on the price of the wine since for a glass we paid around £8.7 which I wish there was a half glass that was half price for this. Also in the final bill they add service charge of 12.5% which I thought would have been nicer to have it as a option rather than adding to the bill and making us pay. We came for a small meal but it costed us quite a lot and wish the prices could be cheaper at happy hours.

A day before we went to another, also top rated tapas place in bath. Even though we ordered quite few plates, the food arrived in few minutes and was not even hot. Which made us feel that it was not prepared specifically for us. The next day we came to Ole Tapas and omg. You could see the chef cooking food for us, everything came fresh, hot, crispy, faultless. We ordered steak three times! The best food we had in Bath and also the best food i had in a long time. Certainly the best tapas i had in my life! Prawns were juicy, bread was hot and fresh, patatas crispy on the outside and soft in the middle, black garlic dip so soft and creamy. Omelette was cooked to absolute perfection, gooey in the middle.

We walked in, late at night, no reservation, & were lucky enough to have a seat at the bar in 10 minutes. Ole Tapas is a must if you're visiting Bath. It's an intimately small place, so make a reservation. The food is excellent, the atmosphere is very comfortably lively, & the staff are fun. Sexiest little tapas joint, ever. Update: We returned a few months later for a birthday meal for my lovely wife & were treated to a very nice surprise. I'd asked if Ole could provide a special dessert & they delivered with bells on when they played Stevie Wonder's, 'Happy Birthday' as it was delivered to our table. Guillome & Adam provide excellent service. The food is delicious & the atmosphere is warm & fun.

Only about 30 seats at this compact restaurant, so book a table whenever you plan to go, unless you're happy to wait 45 minutes for a table (they offer to call you as a table clears).

Quite a small menu, but a great selection of dishes, even for my pescetarian boyfriend. Menu is divided into meat, seafood, veggie etc. categories, and no two dishes within these groups are alike. So - really - a great selection, a fantastic range of dishes, and each their own vibrant flavour and fresh texture. (Note that this means you shouldn't expect the dishes to come out at the same time, but I didn't feel like we had to wait too long for everything to arrive.)

We both usually have a large appetite and this time we went after a couple hours at the pools. We shared 7 tapas dishes and a jug of cava sangria, and didn't leave feeling full, but definitely very satisfied. (As it was a weekend trip to Bath and we didn't have much left on our list, we chose not to stuff ourselves so we'd have room for snacks when we stopped at a cafe later.)

These 7 dishes, plus cava and a shared dessert of churros, and service charge came...

I rarely write reviews but I had to write one for this place as they definitely deserve it. The hospitality and service was one of the best I’ve ever experienced. We ordered the bread, beef stew, shrimp, octopus, tomato salad (daily special), sardines, chicken, churros.. every dish came out fresh, hot and delicious. I was quite impressed with the quality so I asked the server if I could possibly order a take out for an extra order of beef stew and bread so I can enjoy it at home. At first, it didn’t seem possible as the concept of the place is to enjoy freshly made food in the restaurant, but a special exception was made and we could bring it home. I checked the bill and we weren’t even charged for it… I really wanted to give a tip before leaving but the server politely refused and felt grateful that we liked their food. I walked out of the place in awe. It’s rare to find places that genuinely cares for their customers. I’m definitely coming back if I plan to visit Bath again. Left a great impression to not just the restaurant but also the people and culture...
