“We’re wild about simple food made with quality ingredients” is their opening statement on their website. Which, is perfectly suited if you ask me. Tucked away on a little cobblestone street you’ve got a great coffee, brunch and lunch spot in Bath. It is only a 4-minute walk from the Roman Baths so centrally located in the city. They don’t take reservations but be patient and wait, it’s worth it! We got a table by the window and quite enjoyed sitting next to each other tucked in a little corner. It’s quite a cozy place. We started with a cappuccino (of course) and a fresh glass of orange juice. I had the Bubble and Squeak (mask, leek, cabbage, poached egg, hollandaise sauce and bacon) and Trevor had the Eggs Benedict. We left satisfied and ready to take on the beautiful city of Bath. The staff were extremely friendly as well. Wild Cafe also runs on 100% renewable electricity and they recycle, reuse and shop second-hand as much as possible to help the environment. They even have some plans to serve the first zero carbon eggs, Benedict, in the near future! Ps. Make sure you check out the washrooms on your way out, there are some pretty neat comics on the walls. I know it’s weird that I’ve got a thing for bathrooms, but believe me. Just go and have a look. Wash your hands while you’re at it!

Had a quick trip in bath, was looking for a good quick breakfast so of course Google is the place. Look for the best. Turn out I have no idea how this place scored so high. The place was busy so we waited for a good fifteen minutes for an indoor seat, which was fine. When I got into the place, it took another 15 minutes just for the waiters to ignore us the whole way. We had to walk to them to have their attention to order our food. It was another 20 minutes wait until the food arrived. We ordered a full English breakfast (wild breakfast on the menu?) and an egg benedict. See the portion for yourself and I was speechless. The ham on the egg benedict was cold. The tomato on the English breakfast was perhaps raw without frying at all. I'm not saying things weren't fresh there but I am just very disappointed with the quality and portion of food we were presented with. Given the price (14/head?) I would probably find a lot more options in the city.

I would give it a go .. and again... and again. It was a lovely and in an exotic atmosphere cafe. We have tried to visit this cafe a while ago. This morning we managed it. On google business page, it says open from 10am. But in reality, it opens from 9am. I’ve made the edits and hopefully will be reflected soon. The waitrose spotted us immediately when we entered and guided us to a window seat which is amazing for the start. The lady soon ordered our drinks and left us some time to decide which to order. My wife and ordered the vegi and full English breakfast which are a successful choice later turned out to be. Since we just sat near the open kitchen, we heard the main chefs and the assistant chefs are working perfectly with each other. It is a busy kitchen but everything is in order. We sat there for a few more minutes to chat with each other and haven’t met any disturbance. Love this local gem and will make us come back.

Decent Brunch, terrible service... My husband and I were visiting Bath for the weekend and Wild Cafe was highly rated for brunch, so we thought we would stop by. On arrival, we waited at the door as there was a sign saying 'wait to be seated' but for quite some time there was no acknowledgement from anyone, aside from a few furtive smiles from the single server, who seemed to be on her own. Someone finally came over, gave us menus and we seated ourselves outside. Nobody came to clear the table which had the leftovers from the previous customers, which unfortunately included congealed smashed avocado. My husband went in to order/ask for our table to be cleared and after asking for a couple glasses of water, was directed to collect this himself and take it to the table. Nobody came to wipe down the table or anything like that. We got our food around 40 mins later and it was quite good - I had pancakes and bacon and my husband had a full English (quite a small portion) - but our server zipped away to get us cutlery and never returned. My husband had to go in and get us knives and forks, so our food was semi cold by the time we could start eating - our server had seemingly forgotten about us the minute she went back inside! I'd honestly never go back - there are loads of other cafes in Bath where you can get the same food, and hopefully...

My friend and I planned to go here as we’ve seen their Instagram page and loved the look of the food & vibe. It was Saturday at 12 when we went here looking for a table and the server told us it would be a 20 minute wait and we could have a drink outside whilst we waited. So we did just that! However after waiting 40 minutes I checked with the same server and she said it would be another 10 minutes. I noticed that new people had been seated ahead of us and that we’d 100% been forgotten about.

At this point we’d waited 50 minutes for a table. Once seated, we waited another 10 minutes to be served, and my friend wanted the chicken pesto sandwich. The sever said she thought they were out of chicken so she went to check and proceeded to serve other people and begin making coffees.

We couldn’t believe we’d been forgotten about AGAIN!

My friend went to the till to follow up and a different server said we couldn’t order food as they were too busy. My friend mentioned we were in the middle of ordering and they let us order our food.

The food arrived and it was fine, nothing special and the hollandaise sauce tasted like nothing.

Overall we spent nearly 2 hours there waiting for service, absolutely ruined our day and we won’t be coming back again. Seriously disappointed as we love supporting small businesses but this took...
