Taka Taka Broad Street — Restaurant in Bath

was at your Bath Branch in the early hours of Wednesday morning this week (2.30am on the 11th April) when I came into the branch and ordered a toasted rap. After paying for it I left the shop and took my first bite which was ok , however on my second bite I felt a hard object in my mouth. I assumed it was a bit of chicken bone or something like that. After pulling it out of my mouth I found a small razor blade. That's right. A razor.

I stood looking at the razor in disbelief, this had been in my rap which I had paid money for. This had been in my mouth and if I swallowed it (which I nearly did ) I dread to think of the damage it could have caused to my body.

I walked back up broad street and showed a large male employee with a beard the razor. He insisted he didn't know anything about it, great but I still had a razor in my mouth. I was offered another rap which I obviously declined (who knows what might have been in another one) and was given a refund. ...

Given this one 4 stars, would have been 5 and as soon as I walked in I thought wow this is going to be great!!! I ordered the mixed grill souvlaki and before I could blink it was served on a plastic tray in front of me, instantly meaning not been cooked fresh to order which I would expect, especially as this place didn't look like your usual back street greasy kebab house. So because of this, the meat turned out to be quite dry and not very hot at all. Same as the chips although both tasted great, I was disappointed they wernt piping hot and juicy. The salad it came with was really fresh and presented well, as to dips and sauces. I will certainly come back here again, but will insist on waiting for it to be cooked fresh. The price was reasonable too. The place seemed really clean and the staff were friendly. Card payments...

Meh. I tried the place twice on account of the good reviews and was hoping I’d be blown away. I ordered chicken wrap and then the pork wrap. It was fairly underwhelming to be honest. The sauce tasted like empty yogurt pretty sure it’s meant to have more flavour than that and there was hardly any meat in the wrap. The only upside when eating it is I could detect the freshness of the ingredients and could happily eat two more, which I would need to as there wasn’t much filling in there. Is the food decent? Yes. Is it 5 stars? Definitely not.

EDIT: Ok having compared this place to the mostly garbage takeaways in bath this place deserves at least 4 stars. Still have gripes about the portion sizes, have emailed taka taka asking if they’d consider selling large options of their food, but I doubt...
