The food was lovely. Not a lot of variety, steak and fish, which is fine by me I love steak. So if you like steak or fish definitely a great place to go. The steak I got was rump and honestly it was cooked to perfection, medium for me and medium rare for my friend. So tender and melt in the mouth, would definitely recommend. Also was nicely presented on the plate and your own wee dish for sauce. The layout is kind of strange, you go through an outdoor bar to an inner bar then into the restaurant which is open to the inner bar. Just a bit strange. The hosts and waiters/waitresses were brilliant, I forget her name, but our waitress was lovely and helpful when it came to ordering, good recommendations and knew her menu. The price was good for the quality of food. I got a starter, a main and a drink and it cost £37.50 each.

Visited this location tonight and it seems to have a place outside and another inside and then the restaurant. I really liked how you can see the chief's cooking away while you wait for your food. If you are after very tasty, delicious and proper cooking this is the place to go to and worth every pound. I had the lamb chops and they were divine and it was the right amount on the plate, not to much or too little and my husband had the pork and he really enjoyed it alot. I also had the perfect G&T it was called and it hit the spot. Over all this place was in a really nice location and the restaurant has a lovely relaxing feel and the staff are very welcoming and friendly.

We just dined there today as a post-valentine treat. My sirloin steak was divine, and my husband's ribeye was also really great! Make sure to get the bone marrow butter, béarnaise sauce was very good too! Good list of wine and cocktails, plus the staff is very attentive to our needs. We got there and they knew already we needed a high chair, and to my surprise it was prepped already since I mentioned it in the booking details. We had such a nice experience!!! (Only comment probably is the tiramisu which had more of the cream than the actual coffee and biscuit. It tasted good, still.)

Taylor and Clay Award-winning restaurant Taylor & Clay boasts an open kitchen built around a bespoke Asador wood-fired grill. Head chef Saul O’Reilly’s talented team cook the best local meat, seafood and vegetables over roaring flames, delivering delicious char-grilled flavours. They also have a carefully curated collection of world wines, inspired by countries with grill cooking at their culinary core.

We recently dined there to catch up with family, and we were all impressed by the delicious food, excellent drinks, and attentive friendly service.

To start, we had the Toons Bridge Mozzarella with harissa, peach & black rice, the Kilkeel Crab with puffed rice, coconut, coriander & dill, the Smoky Tiger Prawns fried in cumin & garlic with flatbread, and the Chargrilled Lamb Kebab with raita & pickled squash.

As Taylor and Clay are serious about their beef, one of our party couldn’t resist the Fillet Steak served with fries, greens and choice of sauce. Not only that, but The Big Sunday Roast with Lisdergan flax fed rump of beef, Yorkshire pudding, duck fat roast potatoes, tenderstem broccoli, glazed carrots and gravy is terrific value for money. The Free Range Irish Chicken came with crispy garlic and lemon potatoes, and the Fish Of The Day was a beautifully grilled whole Sea Bream served on the bone. We also tried one of the vegan mains, a spicy Wild Mushroom And Chipotle Filé Gumbo with smoked corn, red beans and rice.

We then retired to the Bullitt’s fantastic cocktail bar Rattlebag for a nightcap or two! A great way to finish the evening of fine food, drink and...

In Belfast for the weekend stumbled across this nice looking place yesterday approximately 4pm. Lovely ambiance on walking in. Tempted by the idea of the SHARING charcuterie and cheese for 2 . Apparently a SELECTION of LOCALLY SOUCED meat and cheese !! ……….. What we actually got was a beautiful large heavy plate …… so very lonely in the centre of the plate was ONE of those mini Brie from a selection pack , HALVED !!!! No other cheese was found on the large plate !!! 🥲 The Charcuterie were also found very lonely in the centre of the plate , which existed of 2 thin slices of chorizo ( 1 each !! ) and 3 thin slices of Parma ham ( 1 and a half each !! ) We ran out of any meat or cheese to put on the last of 7 very small posh crackers. The garnish of a handful of slightly old grapes were then found between the meat and 3 oversized dishes of chutney which took up most of the plate. The cost £16 !!!!!!!!! Absolute daylight robbery !!! We understand that regardless of eating out or at home everything is more expensive these days but how can you honestly charge such a ludicrous amount for a couple of mouthfuls of food that were clearly not as described ! Neither a selection or locally sourced !!! We did speak to the waitress about our discontent but nothing other than a fleeting apology was offered ! We left dissatisfied and continued our search for something to eat !! 😢

Unable to add our photo ?! Photo above in...

I recently dined at the restaurant with three other people, and unfortunately, the experience left much to be desired. The ribeye steaks, fillet steak, and sirloin steak we ordered were all disappointingly burnt, with the medium rare ones ending up well done and the medium ones being rare. My sirloin steak, in particular, was incredibly chewy, making it inedible. The accompanying Bernaise and burnt onion sauces were subpar, lacking flavor and consistency – the burnt onion sauce resembled a thin soup rather than a sauce.

Even the chips failed to impress, falling short of expectations compared to fast-food takeaway options. Having tried steaks in various restaurants all around Europe, this was by far the worst experience. Despite bringing up the issue with a staff member, who kindly deducted 20% from my plate, it didn't alleviate the disappointment of leaving hungry after a subpar dining experience.

To add to the dissatisfaction, the restaurant was excessively loud. I regret to say that I cannot recommend...
