My wife and I visited Arch 13 on a Tuesday evening after work. It was quiet when we arrived, with only one other couple in there, but it soon started to get busy as more post-work couples and groups came in.
The wine selection is good, there isn't an intimidating brochure, instead the selection has a wine for any taste, we settled on a lovely wine from Alsace. For those that want to go off-menu, there is the option of buying a bottle from the in-house wine merchant and paying corkage to drink on site.
We opted for the 7 item cheese and meat board comprising Baron Bigod, Tunworth, Lincolnshire Poacher and Rollright cheeses, with bresaola, Hampshire ham and fennel salami meats. The beauty of Arch 13 is the phenomenal range of wine – not just on the Wine List – but also because you can purchase a bottle of wine from the shop and drink that – just paying corkage – which is great value for a food establishment Inevitably, we got a little peckish and decided to order some food. Arch 13 provides a casual, intimate drinking and dining experience – a great spot for a business meeting or a cosy date. I would thoroughly...
