Impresso Coffee Lounge — Restaurant in Birmingham

I went to Impresso for brunch today with two friends, based off some positive reviews I had seen but to our disappointment it was not the positive experience we expected. We were seated as we arrived as it was pretty empty, we were given menus and left to decide what to order. After 10 minutes my friends had to go up to order, with staff stood around talking, even though we later witnessed other tables being served after they were seated. We ordered The Brunch Board and the full English. We were not made aware of how much the service charge was or that it was removable, differing from what the reply this business has provided my friends review. When realising a charge was made for the drinks (that should have been included in the platter) my friend went up making them aware of this, and was met with no apology or sincerity, given cash. Then upon recieving our food we were made aware there were no more scones and the waffles were unavailable, and that we would receive a complimentary cake on the house, singular cake not two like the reply also stated to my friend. It was not stated that we had to go up to ask for this cake slice either. We were not given the opportunity to change our order as we were not made aware that we would have half our platter missing before receiving it. There was no check during our meal by staff to ask how we were finding our meals, even once we had finished we waited around 15 minutes for any member of staff to ask if we had finished and to collect our plates, we mentioned about the missing food of the platter and was told to make up for this we were given an extra croissant, nothing mentioned about the cake the other member of staff had told us. So my friend asked if anything could be done further to rectify this, to which we were given one slice of cake, again not two slices like the reply stated. We were also told that the waffle machine was out of use after the plates were collected, this was not mentioned when receiving the food. And was also told when receiving the cake slice the member of staff expected us to go up to them to receive the cake slice, even though this was not stated when mentioning originally about this singular cake slice on the house, and should have been made aware to us if this is what was expected.

Disappointed with the experience, service as well as the lies this business have provided in their reply to my friends review, as there was no information given prior to receiving the platter about the missing food, this should have happened so we were able to change our order, and there were not two cake slices, but one, which we took as deserved when we are paying 30 pound for a platter for it to be missing multiple of the food items and failing to be informed about until arrival of the platter. I have found a gem in Martineau Place called Impresse Coffee Lounge, which definetly deserves the hype. I have tried many viral coffee locations however they failed on service delivery however Impresse Coffee Lounge has definetly taken the number 1 spot.

I would highly recommend. The atmosphere is inviting, cozy, and filled with the delightful aroma of freshly brewed coffee. From the moment you enter, the staff greet you with genuine smiles and a friendly demeanor that instantly makes you feel welcome.

The customer service here is top-notch. The baristas are not only skilled in their craft but also incredibly personable and attentive. They take the time to ensure each customer has a pleasant experience, whether it's helping you choose the perfect coffee blend or offering a recommendation for a tasty treat.

I have been to many coffee shops and Impresse Coffee Lounge is by far the best very welcoming, extremely friendly and very versatile. The cozy seating, soft background music, and tasteful decor create a comfortable and relaxing ambient.

The attention to detail is evident in everything they do, from the meticulously crafted coffee to the beautifully arranged pastries. Each visit to Impresse Coffee Lounge is a reminder of how good a positive customer experience can be. Even though I have visited many times the service delivery is always the highest.

I have enjoyed everything I have tried but my fav at moment is the Shakshuka, I am a foodie and I have tried many but this is definetly the best. Service as a whole is impeccable.
