Shawarma City — Restaurant in Birmingham

I recently tried the mixed shawarma and fries from Shawarma City, and I must say, the flavours were delightful. The combination of the various meats was tasty, complemented perfectly by their array of sauces, particularly their garlic sauce, which was a standout.

However, I noticed that the shawarma was a bit fatty compared to others I've had in the past. It was enjoyable nonetheless, but just mentioning it so you're aware. It's not so much that it ruins the meal, but for an occasional treat, it's worth trying as the flavours are great!

Overall, Shawarma City offers flavoursome food with a varied sauce selection. Even those of you you who watch ketchup with shawarma 😒😅😂

Them Good food but I was a bit suprised by the meat falling into the sauses. If you look at the middle sauce in my photo you can see what I mean. What really got me was that the biggest bit of meat that isn't on the photo got pushed into the sauce quite deeply. If they don't throw those sauces out daily it could be a problem I would think.

They are always busy, the service is actually very good they just need to watch cross contamination.

I'm leaving the original review up, but I have been several times since and there have been no other incidents of food falling into anything. The food continues to be fresh and really good, I would recommend them and the portion sizes are excellent, definitely don't order two even if you have a large appetite if you can manage two you deserve some...

Either I'm wrong and everyone else is right but this place is the worst shawarma ever

First of all the meat was rubbery and just tasted weird, it tasted fake to be precise.

I was on verge of asking for a refund how bad it was but i just stopped after a few mouth fulls and left. Anyway at least it's got its act together regarding hygiene compared to the first time i came and asked for a refund (because it was filthy) and gave the place a makeover.

Anyway just avoid it, plenty of other places around to spend money on.

Makan near by or islender kebab (which isnt great neither) are better than that waste of a dish.
