Such a shame but what a awful venue this was after being search at the front door the SIA bouncers said I wasn't allowed in unless I removed my stone island badge on my rain coat to which I'm not from Birmingham so haven't gotten a clue as to why and the said all stone island hood rich kenzo clothing brands aren't allowed in here and they wouldn't disclose why which I think is absolute crazy !!
obviously I removed as I wasn't going to be odd one out the group 4 we was in. After getting in side the venue is so small it was so cramped that we all decided to go outside which looked absolute amazing even the music was better! but sadly yet again another problem it was so cold out side but they didn't even bother to have the outside heater on. We all decided to leave and end the night as was complete let down entering this venue. We all decided to go to toilet quickly before getting taxi home. The men's toilet had one small cubicle which was in such a bad state toilet roll everywhere cups all in the urinal !!. 3 boys left the toilet after sniffing out baggie together. The woman toilet to which I was told by another group member wasn't much better sanitary products all over the floor & blood all in one cubicle which I'm not gonna go into detail about.
wont every be returning to such a...
Read moreLots of us booked the bottomless brunch. The drinks were great and the music was really good. The main issue was with the food and with management's attitude towards sorting the issue. You get a burger as part of the bottomless offer. I waited for 45 minutes for a plant based burger which was cold when it come to me. My friends ordered chicken burgers which took an hour and they too were cold so we were worried they were undercooked. The issue was attributed to one member of staff being off. However there were still two people making the burgers, the venue was not busy so we were all confused as to why it was taking so long. Some of my friends sent their burgers back as they were cold and got nothing back. I did say to the manager that I have cooked for more people on my own at a bbq without these issues. I was given a plate of chips in exchange for my burger. The manager did not seem that bothered, kept on leaving and did not help the guys. Instead he said that the company providing the food is independent and nothing that can be done. From our point of view, we paid Mama Rouxs for the bottomless brunch and expect them to sort this out. Most of my friends did not get anything to eat. Go there for drinks but maybe...
Read moreBit of an unusual review but I have nothing but good things to say about the staff of this place and I didn't even go in!
We'd been to a gig further up the street and had parked across the road in Trinity Street car park. When I got back to my car after the gig I couldn't find my keys. That's when Johnathon (door-staff at Mama Roux's?) came across and told me not only had he seen I left my key in the ignition, but my driver door wide open.
He'd come over, closed the door and spent the last 2+ hours patrolling the street, keeping an eye on it until we got back.
I know it sounds completely mad leaving the car that way - and I was obviously being super dozy, no excuses. But apparently we're not the only ones who've left cars in a stupid way after getting distracted by the car parking app/payment situation. Whatever the reason behind and however stupid I was to do it, this is my public big big thank you to Johnathon at Mama Roux. I cannot say enough how much I appreciate you looking out for us and making sure no one took advantage of my dozy...
