A bit out of the way from the busy area, we had a lovely experience in this newly opened family-run restaurant.

The atmosphere was calm and cozy, a nice break from Birmingham’s hecticness.

The staff was polite and friendly, attentive when needed but also giving space which added to the charm of our experience.

I really appreciated that the food we had was not overwhelmed by salt, I think some places use too much salt and sauces which mask the original taste of the ingredients, we had the sichuan noodles and some of the starters and they all had a delicate umami/homely taste, we got to enjoy the freshness of the ingredients without being sidetracked by overwhelming flavours.

The noodles had a lovely chewy consistency and from the menu it is possible to choose different kind of noodles, it is even possible to add more noodles (for free) which is a nice touch.
