From the outside and the interiors, Miss Korea appears to be a posh restaurant and therefore, you'd expect everything typically associated with these places - everything from the quality of food, service and cleanliness of the restaurant. Unfortunately, I was rather dissapointed with my visit to Miss Korea. Firstly, the table that we were brought to was hastily cleaned and there was still bits of food and used tissue scattered on the floor (the thought of it was just gross so I just tried my best to not think/look at the floor the whole time I was there). Secondly, we ordered the beef bugolgi with rice, beef udong and sweet and spicy Korean fried chicken. The beef bulgogi was really the only decent dish. Unfortunately, the beef udong was a bit too salty and the Korean fried chicken lacked the sweet and spicy flavour (Master Park's Kitchen's sweet and spicy Korean Fried Chicken is the best I've had so far!). Thirdly, the staff appeared a bit too "relaxed" in my opinion and some kind of emotion/enthusiasm would have helped the atmosphere. Last but not least, given the nice interiors across the restaurant, you would probably expect something similar when it comes to the toilets but oh my god was I shocked... Absolutely horrific and revolting and I quite literally wanted to puke. Please please please put some time and money into renovating your toilet otherwise you'll soon be having guests throwing their food back up!!! Unfortunately, I will never be coming back to Miss...
Read moreWent as a party of 2, ordered the mixed beef grill with a starter of chicken gyoza and Shrimp tempura. This was my the first experience at a Korean barbecue and I cannot compare this restaurant to other similar Korean BBQs but I can compare it to my experience in other restaurants. I found the unique experience of cooking the food in your own grill means that you appreciate the food over a longer period of time and get to Cook it to your exact taste. when I first received the meat I was concerned because I thought the ribeye steak was a little bit on the dry and grey side however when I came to cook and then eat it I found that it was indeed very tasty and not low quality like I had originally feared. both the the sirloin steak and marinated beef we're both very well flavoured so you would not require salt and Pepper and other seasoning as you would do when cooking a steak at home. I thought the environment was very clean and tastefully decorated and I thought the service was extremely friendly even to me, somebody who had no experience with Korean BBQ,s. I would certainly recommend a Korean barbecue if you are a fan of any type of barbecue. but I would set aside some time I'm to allow for the food to cook which allows you to have a good time with friends TDLR: great even if you've ever been to a Korean barbecue before with a clean environment tasteful decoration and...
Read moreIt was ok. Staff that served me and my partner was friendly and helpful,( although there was another we didnt see her at all).
Ordered barbeque menu, and it waas nice experience cooking food and all. Again staff frequently came by to switch grill sheet and making helpful suggestion for food orders and such.
That said, there was no side dish offered, kind of diminishing authentic experience. Given that price was rather high as well this was a bit of let down.
Additionally this place is CASH ONLY. Althoguh the staff did say this earlier when we arrived, with no signs displayed thought this was rather a poor one.
Overall good experience, but could do better with maybe more staff working rather than just one person serving, and maybe work on food procing. While general foood options arent too bad, set menus seem ridiculous at a glance. Either this menu gets full explanation as to why they are better than ordering food separately or drop price altogether to be more competitive.
Not suggesting that you shouldn't try this place but quick google search will reveal other korean restaurants nearby that maybe...
