Greggs — Restaurant in Bolton

2pm on Saturday & the shop was almost empty of all hot & cold food. There was boxes of doughnuts, a tray of kids sponge cupcakes & a few chocolate star biscuits. When I asked if they had any cheese & ham toasties they claimed they hadn't got the ingredients. I purchased a box of doughnuts & the girl left me to find the card reader myself, didn't wait to tell me if my payment had gone through & just moved on to the next customer. Good job my sight had returned after having drops in at the opticians earlier & I wasn't bothered about a receipt. She had done the same to another customer. I had visited the Saturday before & had a different experience. They had stock, kept restocking the hot chicken & wedges deli. The staff were helpful & not rushed. The pasta and bread was very fresh & though it ended up being an expensive lunch as when you have your sandwich toasted it's no longer eligible in the meal deal, it was nice. I was really disappointed. I went Sunday morning, and I thought I'd get breakfast. Got there at 10.25 and had to queue for 30 mins. Yes, it was busy as a car boot was over at the stadium. My gripe was they had nothing left they'd serve to anyone as they prioritised online orders, so despite there being bacon and sausage, they would serve any snd it still wasn't 11 am. Not greggs if you have actual customers in the store don't annoy them, cook more as you serve till 11, or put a sign saying only till we run out and that you prioritise online orders for those to lazy to go out and actual get their own. Good & bad, sandwich (ham & egg salad) was lovely. Unfortunately the same can't be said about the cup the coffee came with! Put it in the drinks holder of my car and by the time I came to drink it (it was still hot) it was running out the bottom of the cup! Have never had a takeaway coffee cup do that before. 😕
