Unfortunately the staff were better than the steaks. Must have been an 'off' day with several problems. The starters were nice, we had bbq chicken wings, Yorkshire pudding with pulled pork and honey glazed sausages. The 30 day aged steak and the spiral cut fillets were very disappointing as they were all really chewy. My son had the worse one and left most of his, which was taken off the bill by the manager. We eat at steak restaurants alot, and in many different countries, so I'm trying to be fair comparing tonight. The chips were nice. The chimichurri sauce that came with the fillet was too oily for me. The baileys ice-cream had a fine sand texture that sent my husband into a coughing fit (also taken off the bill), my other sons choc dome that's supposed to melt when hot chocolate's poured over it was unspectacular, it melted slightly on top at the end, as the pouring chocolate wasn't hot enough. The lemon tart and the chocolate brownies were very nice, but we went there for good steaks and went away disappointed. The staff however handled everything professionally and with a smile, which made our night much better than it might have been. Our older son had already booked to go in January with his friends, so hopefully it will be better and I'll update my post accordingly. Other stuff: It was easy to find and is accessible by wheel chair. They have the disabled toilets on the same floor but the men and women's were up a small flight of stairs. The men had 2 cubicles but both door locks were broken. The womens had 3 cubicles that were clean and worked fine.

The food is great but the service is the opposite. We booked a table for 4 for boxing day. We looked at the menu beforehand online and also outside of their restaurant. They advertised outside their restaurant with a lunch menu of 3 courses for £15.95 Monday-Friday. It was a Thursday so we were going to go for that menu. We go in and they say the only thing that is available is the Christmas menu....even though Christmas is over but okay. We look at the Christmas menu, we were going to get the tapas to share.....not available either. The other things that was left did not have prices so we asked about them in this order.... ...The beef roast dinner....not available. ...The turkey roast dinner....not available. The waitress had to keep going back and fourth to find out the prices of the food we ordered because they are not displayed on the menu. It's not her fault but maybe next time she could have taken a picture on the prices instead of going back and fourth from our table to the system. We eneded up ordering a burger, fish, shortrib and a steak 'platter' or 'sampler' or whatever it was called because it was not that. They said it was a board of different cuts of steak. I didn't manage to take a picture but it was small cuts of sirloin steak and probably rump. It was way overpriced for what it was :) The food did taste good but the service was just bad. Don't advertise what you have in the front of the restaurant and not actually have it.

After a late night, out on the town, we were looking forward to a good night's sleep. Putting my head down I stared up at the ceiling and noticed cobwebs above my face. Not wanting these to fall on me in the night I cleaned them off myself. Afterwards I noticed more around the room but left them for their housekeeping to deal with (as is their job). Once settled I went to sleep around midnight only to be awoken by the night receptionist banging insistently on our door at 01:15 to say that there had been a report of noise from our room? We were asleep!!!? I was very upset at being woken up for no good reason and did not get a good night's sleep thereafter. In the morning we went down for breakfast but could not see where the restaurant was. Asking, we were told to exit left and it was down the street a little. If we would have been told this yesterday then we would have taken our coats, being that it was raining. As it was we had to go back to our room and  fetch them before repeating the whole rigmarole again. Breakfast itself was ok but the restaurant was a tip: crumbs on tables and seats...We had to move because it was so bad. We feel the experience was very poor and submitted a complaint the day after for a full refund. It is now 16 days on and nothing! I will no longer be using Premier Inn.

One of the worst dining experiences I've had. We were a family of five and arrived for our reservation at 17:15 when the restaurant was not busy for a bank holiday weekend. After ordering food and drinks, we waited almost 20 minutes for drinks to be served after watching them sit on the bar for 10 minutes after being poured. The starters were fine, but when the main meals were eventually served after waiting 1.5 hours, there were a calamity of errors. One steak and chips and another side of chips was served cold, and both had to be taken away for reheating / re-cooking. Another side that was included with the dish did not arrive until the meal was already finished. The reheated side of chips did not return. The re-cooked steak and chips were served only after everyone else had finished their meal, this time without the sauce.

We asked to speak to the manager Rebecca, who was unsympathetic and unapologetic for our experience, who then realed off a list of excuses about why this had happened including being under staffed on a BH weekend despite us arriving when the restaurant was not busy. We contested the bill as several items we ordered did not arrive or arrived after meals were already finished, believing that the service and experience we expected to pay for had not been fulfilled. This was again heavily argued by the manager.

Overall, this was one of the worst dining experiences I have had, and ultimately both kitchen and front of house staff made a complete shambles of a relatively simple steak and chips meal for five. To top it off, we received an email notification later that evening to say that we had cancelled our reservation, presumably to remove our booking from the system, and prevent us from giving feedback. Luckily we kept the receipt including booking number. Will not be returning or...

NEVER AGAIN !!!!!! No Stars are deserved for this awful place but sadly you have to put at least one on this review. Table of 5 with 1.5hr available during our work lunch. Table was booked in advance. Food took 45 minutes to come out even though items were ordered of the express menu( supposed to take 10 mins). Timing is way off and surely a steak restaurant would be able to manage timings for a fairly small table of 5 ?? Certainly not at this place ! When the food came out 4 steak sauces were missing and when we asked for them the waitress had no idea where they were ! So as well as being charged extra for sauce we didn't receive it. And yes there is more ! The steak were overcooked and stone COLD ! In fact freezing to the point it was difficult to eat. And there is more ! As well as cold overcooked steak the orders were wrong further more with chips being missed and random halloumi fries added, side salads came out late and with no dressing and lazily chucked in a bowl. The waitress apologised but seemed very stressed and unable to cope . She arranged for the manager to take 40%b off the bill. He did this but then rudley put the bill on the table with no apologies no customer service skills at all !! We now have looked at the bill and 40% was not taken off at all ! I am truly disgusted at the lack of customer service, quality and general management of this restaurant.

in total 50 minute wait for overcooked, freezing cold, touch food with 5 simple orders completely wrong ! Looked forward to as team lunch at a nice new restaurant and have been left with money down the drain and a very poor meal.

Please avoid it is not worth wasting your money on a place where they make weatherspoons look like a gourmet restaurant.

Awful and...

We came here for Mother’s Day, starters were probably the best part of the meal. Burnt beef ends were lovely. Cocktails were lovely too. Mains weren’t great. The beef was dry, the veg was under cooked, the gravy was bland, there really wasn’t any flavour going through it. We had pre ordered as requested. Initially someone had chosen the seabass but changed her mind, to which I emailed 2 or 3 days before our booking to change her order, when the waitress approached our table she came with the original order sheet and questioned my sister when she said I’m having a roast to which I replied ‘I emailed a couple of days before to change it’ she walked off and nothing else was said. When the mains arrived our son’s steak was well done, he had requested it be medium rare. It was so well done he left most of it as it was dry & bland and not how he likes his steak. We would have asked for it to be sent back but he’s only 7 and was so hungry by this point he just wanted to eat. Desserts were ok although we had pre-ordered, a couple of desserts were unavailable, 7 people received their puddings whilst I had to wait 5-10 minutes until my Eton Mess came out bearing in mind another person on my table had the same pudding as me. It would’ve been nice to been made aware before. Unfortunately the service of the waiting staff wasn’t good enough in our eyes, slow food service, staff didn’t come across happy and chatty. They weren’t very busy when we arrived maybe 5 other tables in. The toilets were filthy, sinks not clean, toilet paper on the floor, the lock on one door didn’t lock properly. Compared to other steak restaurants we’ve been to this is...
