A corner plot with floor to ceiling windows to take in the local environment. This coffee shop selling a variety of drinks, cakes and lunch offerings would be great for the quick catch up with a friend or colleague. From the cake selection you won’t be disappointed by the Tunisian orange cake even if you don’t like orange flavoured cakes! I had to look up how the cake was made because it had a strange but very enjoyable flavour palette. I found the taste to be a blend of the almond, clove and cinnamon ingredients used. The clove and cinnamon were very subtle, on the level of the flavours you might expect from and M&S or Waitrose Christmas biscuit. The orange flavour wasn’t punchy. It again was subtle and pair well with the delicate flavours of other ingredients. I would liken the cake as a whole to a family recipe. Its composition was balanced throughout. This extends to the syrup used to drench the sponge. It didn’t gush out but instead made the sponge moist. The house coffee greets your taste buds with a very roasted hit at first (Black coffee). However, the flavour develops into a fruit one that’s smooth and ends with only a slight bitter note.

The vegetarian breakfast was really lovely and coffee quality was great as well!! Staff members were really lovely and were very catering to requests as well. The tea had timer and it was with tea leafs which made the experience great too. Since it was on the eat out to help out time, there was a bit of a waiting time but very worth it!! The service did take while for the food to arrive but worth the wait . It would have been better if the staff have visors or masks on given the current situation but other than this would definitely recommend :)!

We had smoked salmon bagel and English breakfast with sourdough toast. Both breads are very hard to chew and my jaw felt sore after finishing my bagel. Bread shouldn’t be like that! There was long waiting for us from ordering to getting the food, at least 20 minutes. There is also only one toilet cubicle which is not relaxing when you know there is a queue behind you. It’s in a great location though and I highly recommend the courgette and lime cake. However I wouldn’t go back again. The food isn’t for me.

I went to the finzels reach one a while ago and absolutely loved the veggie breakfast. The halloumi was so soft and tender, the poached eggs were perfect, all in all we were dying to go again. Finzels reach is now closed at weekends so we went to this one instead. We tried to get in 3 separate times but they were too busy, so we were super excited to finally get in yesterday after a short wait. We ordered the veggie breakfast again and were super excited for it especially as we had raved about it to other people too. We were so ... Disappointed. The halloumi was so tough I could barely saw through it with a knife - my hands hurt by the end! The poached eggs were tough and completely cooked through, no runny yolk. The potatoes were a bit tough too and none of it was very warm. We got the impression that the food was batch cooked and left so went tough/carried on cooking. It could have been that it was a busy day and they were struggling, but equally I'm not sure I want to go again and get the same experience. We were so excited to go again and had recommended it to our friends too! We were...

First time in Bristol and saw online that this place was good for coffee and lunch. Went to the one by the harbour, the display of cakes looked fab to be fair , there were three free tables but they had not been cleared and stayed uncleared for quite some time. Went to order food and when I was mid sentence the woman serving me just turned away to talk to colleagues whilst I was trying to order, it was so obvious that the guy working there came over to apologise for it , it looked like the women working there had been in an argument and one girl looked like she had been crying, she eventually returned and didn't apologise but then someone else came to finish my order, so unenthusiastic and just not interested. I totally get that they are at work it's a busy Saturday but sadly it is customer service and it's nice to be nice to your customers. We ordered an iced coffee and iced tea, basic to be honest and the food took ages to come. Not a great experience and...
