My family and I visited Muse to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Unfortunately, as soon as we entered the restaurant, we were met with extremely rude treatment from two female staff members. Their attitude made us feel disrespected and, at times, even discriminated against, which had a significant impact on our mood and the overall dining atmosphere. We were so upset that we didn’t even want to ask for their names, as we didn’t want any further interaction with them.

We had made a reservation for 18:15 on December 7th, which was confirmed by an email from Muse, and we were aware that our dining time was for two hours. We arrived around 18:00, and the receptionist, a woman wearing a suit and glasses, with short black hair tied up, greeted us. She told us that they could not find our reservation, so we showed her the confirmation email. Only then did she reluctantly lead us to our table. While we were still standing and taking off our coats, she asked what drinks we would like. My wife indicated that we would prefer to sit down first before ordering drinks. The staff member responded with a disdainful expression and said, “You can wait as long as you want,” before turning her back and walking away. We were shocked… What kind of attitude is that? This completely soured our mood.

Fortunately, Chrissie, a very competent staff member, took over to take our order. As we waited for our drinks and our mood began to improve, another female staff member (wearing glasses, with long reddish-yellow hair and some red highlights at the front, earrings, and a suit) came over with our drinks. She told us, “The table you’re sitting at is only for one hour. If you’d like, we can move you to a table under the tree where there is no time limit. You can go and have a look at that spot.” We were very confused about the “one-hour dining” policy. Initially, my wife and I thought it meant we’d be moved to a more comfortable table, but instead, we were shown to a table near the entrance, where there was bright light and constant foot traffic. This made us feel very uncomfortable. My wife then asked, “Who would want to dine for just one hour? Are you suggesting we sit by the door?” Since my wife is pregnant, I didn’t want her to get upset, so I tried to calm her down. After some back and forth, we were finally moved back to our original table, but by this point, our mood had already been significantly affected. To make matters worse, five minutes later, a family of four arrived and were seated directly across from us, and half an hour later, three gentlemen were seated next to us. This infuriated us. Why were we, who had made a reservation and already placed our order, being asked to move, while others who had just arrived were seated immediately? We truly felt discriminated against by these two staff members. Upon entering the restaurant, we were asked to order drinks before we even sat down, and when we didn’t order immediately, we were met with a dismissive attitude and expression. We were then asked to move to a less suitable table, and the attitude we received was extremely poor. Is this the level of service Muse staff should be providing? Or has Muse become just another fast-food chain?

What was even more disappointing was that we never received an apology from these two staff members, which completely ruined my wife’s birthday dinner. Ultimately, Chrissie apologized on their behalf, and we accepted her apology and excellent service. However, as we left, my wife stated that she would never return to Muse, as the restaurant made us feel discriminated against, disrespected, and...

OUTSTANDING! We were trying to choose a restaurant for a special birthday occasion and Muse Brasserie firstly caught my eye with the amazing decor that with colours coordinates with any occasion, and then I check the menu and the reviews that all sounded and looked inviting..... So we booked it! Firstly to get there if you can't drive or don't want to drive.... there's a bus stop directly outside and very convenient. On arrival, you step through the door and take that turning and it's that wow factor and we were pleasantly greeted at the reception by a gentleman who instantly made us feel welcomed ... greeted and seated. Everything was explained from the menu and anything we didn't know or wanted to know... someone was to hand and to happy to help. The restaurant had an awesome feel and atmosphere about it that we just loved and knew it was top choice. We started to make our choice from Starters, main and dessert..... rewind back abit.... as inbetween that, we were pleasantly served a courtesy start of fresh tomato soup served delicately with a fresh homemade onion bhaji and fresh roll or your choice seeded or non-seeded. Then it was the serving and presentation of the starters and main..... which was second to none and the taste was spot on to the taste buds and meats of our choice were so succulent. To complete our meals we ordered our desserts ... inwhich then a surprise chocolate mousse style cake slice with a lighted candle was served to the birthday Girl and we sang Happy Birthday. Our evening was truly complimented in every way possible there with an awesome venue, the top staff and the truly divine meal, not forgetting the fab drinks too.... we were happily snapping, capturing from every angle we could of this special occasion & restaurant. 📸 Muse Brassiere - Bristol ..... we THANK YOU ALL EVER SO MUCH for making all of us feel special in such a beautiful and uplifting venue, that I would truly recommend to go for any occasion and at any time.... as the place will truly accommodate you and for sure we will return again. 🙏🏼🙌🍽🍹😋👌🎉🥂🍾💝 Personally.... we all partly ordered different meals and everything was truly delicious, fresh and presentation was top... to the point, I didn't want to cut into it! 😁 They also ensure that they accommodate you with any dietary requirements where ever they possibly can by checking first off. You can also may your choices how ever low in cost or how expensive you wish with your choices of the menu. The prices was right for what you receive. Top! 👌 If only I could have uploaded some pics or clips to share on...

If you're looking for a dining experience that is nothing short of extraordinary, Muse Brasserie is the place to be. From the moment you step inside this exquisite restaurant, you'll be transported to a world of culinary delights that will tantalize your taste buds and leave you craving for more - all thanks to the amazing team, including the incredible mixologist Sonny and amazing restaurant manager Lara.

To start off the evening, Sonny's Smoked Sidecar Cocktail was the perfect choice. It was a tantalizing blend of flavors that left me feeling refreshed and invigorated. And Lara's warm welcome made us feel instantly at home.

As for the amuse-bouche soup, it was nothing short of a masterpiece - a beautiful and delicate dish that set the stage for the rest of the meal. The attention to detail in every aspect of the dining experience was truly impressive.

Next up, my girlfriend and I shared the Beetroot Tikki, a dish that we had never tasted before. And boy, were we blown away! The outstanding blend of flavors was simply sensational, and we couldn't help but savor every bite.

The Cheese Souffle - or, as I like to call it, a cheesy marshmallow - was a heavenly combination of cheesy goodness and melt-in-your-mouth texture that left me utterly speechless.

The Moules Et Frites were also a standout - fresh, succulent mussels paired with perfectly cooked fries made for a truly unforgettable dish.

And last but not least, the beef cheek - As the night progressed, I had the distinct pleasure of indulging in the Beef Cheek dish, and what a dish it was! The meat was so soft and tender that it simply melted in my mouth, leaving me feeling absolutely mesmerized. The flavors were expertly balanced, with a richness that was perfectly complemented by the subtle sweetness of the honey-roasted vegetables that accompanied it.

The Beef Cheek was the perfect example of culinary perfection - expertly cooked, expertly seasoned, and expertly served. It was clear to me that the chefs at Muse Brasserie take great pride in the dishes they prepare, and it was evident in every bite I took.

In summary, Muse Brasserie is a must-visit destination for anyone looking for an extraordinary dining experience. From the exceptional menu to the impeccable service, everything about this restaurant is truly world-class - thanks to the incredible team led by Sonny and Lara. I cannot recommend it highly enough - go check it out for yourself and prepare...

I booked a table for 8 to celebrate my birthday (but didn't mention this in advance). I'd not been here before so was unsure what to expect but I'm so glad I booked here because it was the best restaurant I've been to in a long time and the best dining experience I think I've ever had! When we arrived, we were given a fantastic table in a partitioned section of the restaurant, which was a lovely surprise and made it feel like private dining. It was beautifully decorated in the restaurant, the table had a gorgeous floral centerpiece and the fact it was a large square table meant it was very sociable and easy to chat with everyone there. The service was faultless - so attentive, professional and friendly. I had the best 'old fashioned' cocktail I've ever had (and I've had a few), the food was incredible, so much so, several of us shared a few mouthfuls of each others' as we had food envy. I really recommend the Tiffin - what a showpiece! The desserts and dessert cocktails were delicious and unique and, to end, the waiter brought out a surprise birthday brownie with a candle and everyone sang happy birthday to me! Thank you for making my birthday one to remember. My friends and I all had the best time and we'll definitely be back. I've already recommended you to so many people! Loved it! Update: we've just been back for a second time to celebrate my husband's birthday (just the 2 of us) and it was a lovely evening again. The waiter even remembered us from our previous visit which was a nice touch. The best 'old fashioned' in town! Can't wait to come back and try their Sunday roast.
