Portwall Tavern — Restaurant in Bristol

I like this pub and when we come to Bristol we usually end up here for late drinks before going back to the hotel. On Friday evening we got there around 10.15 and the place was thinning out. My wife wanted a coffee but the machine had been cleaned and shut down , the barman very kindly started up the machine and made my wife a coffee (we had been to a place earlier in the evening and they couldn't be bothered to serve her a coffee)- we are certainly not regulars but the service and customer focus was excellent and they keep a good pint - will definitely go again and top marks to the...

I'd just arrived in Bristol with nowhere to sleep so I went to the nearest pub which was this Portwall Tavern. The blond barmaid was really nice and helpful showing me which way to go. It was a Monday so expected to be quiet. Smart pub but not posh. Oh also I was allowed to charge my phone.

A cosy little pub with great vibes and amazing food! We went for lunch, and the lunch menu had a lot to choose from, and the value for money was exceptional. £10 for a burger and the largest wedges I've ever seen.
