Cultured Bean — Restaurant in Bury

Took my girlfriend to this cafe after a beautiful morning out at the cemetery.. We got told that there was a short wait of 20 minutes which wasn’t a problem, ordered an apple juice and a latte, the latte cup was very dirty and the apple juice after being poured into a glass was floating with dirt! We changed the drink for a bottle of coke. When the breakfast came out we tucked in and can’t lie visually from what we could see it looked lovely! Only to find half way thru eating it that the toast was mouldy! This for us was an immediate put off, we have left this place without paying and feel absolutely disgusted!!! Good service. Very pleasant waitress. We visited at lunchtime and were the only people in for most of the time. Thought they might do better if the breakfast menu, which was very good and reasonably priced, but only served until 11 30 was served for lunch as well. We asked if they could do us a tea cake and bacon sandwich from the breakfast menu, which they did. Both were good. Visiting Ramsbottom via the lovely preserved railway, we popped in to the Cultured Bean for a coffee and a snack. Lots of different blends of fresh coffee, and proper leaf teas too. Also delicious scones and cakes. We decided to pop back later for a 'proper' meal. I had a steak salad, with strips of delicious tender steak on a salad bed, with boiled potatoes, egg, you name it.
