Panton Arms — Restaurant in Cambridge

Went here again. With the wife and OMG the food is amazing you will never find such good pub food the staff are so lovely in the panton arms so glad the pub has been shaken up a bit with new owners new paint work just is amazing inside there. Had Sunday road on Sunday and the beef was so tender and full of flavour I haven't had a Sunday roast like that for years now then today I went there had the 8oz hamburger with bacon jam and salad and home mad slaw was off the would my wife had Mac n cheese with meatballs she could not believe her eyes when it came out and the taste was outstanding I would definitely recommend this pub for anyone who wants good food no waiting and friendly staff hats off to Josh the cheff with his brilliant cooking skills... Thank you for such good food the...

Walked into this establishment, looked very nice and clean. At the bar they had ran out of pretty much every beer. Not great. The man on the customer side of the bar with a beer in hand was talking at me and my partner, he didn't look like a member of staff he had greasy long hair with a hat and a beard and was clearly inibriated. He then told the girl behind the bar to take his 20p towards my round as it would cause them to use all their pound coins up. I asked if he worked here and another member of staff said he did which didn't look very professional. Another customer ordered a beer which by my surprise they had just run out of! The bartender's excuse was that is what happens when you work in a busy bar....

Bad enough to spend time posting this review - beware! Ciabatta, fishfinger sandwich, ham, and burgers were all unavailable on Remembrance Sunday, yards from "The Homecoming" in Cambridge. "Tell him there's no VAT on food", said the grey faced chef stomping back to the kitchen as I requested an itemised receipt. Everything missing from the menu was available in nearby shops, but I left feeling it was my fault. If you're confused by the closure of so many potentially good pubs, please visit The Panton Arms "... and tell him it's 85p extra if they want french fries". ...
