The Alma — Restaurant in Cambridge

Imagine serving this beer and refusing to give a repour even after I asked politely. Do you expect someone to pay for this? No where else in the country would someone be refused a repour for this.

Secondly, the female staff at the bar is extremely unprofessional. It's normal to have your family patronise the place you're working ig but having your kid sit and crawl on the bar table and almost knocking over a customer's drink is ridiculous. Are customers also supposed to put up with that? There's nothing wrong if your kid was sitting down like everyone else but frankly to see a kid crawling up and down my table is insane.

Please have some standards set up for this pub and train your staff how to pour a pint. If mistakes happen (cuz everyone can pour a bad pint) then customers should be entitled a repour. I asked twice was told it'll be done and then no one bothered.

I feel like the 2 stars is quite harsh because overall, we didn't mind visiting The Alma, the drinks were good, bar staff were very friendly and helpful, however this is where the good times stop.

Whoever the quiz master is on a Thursday night, we have the feeling he might be the owner or manager but won't ever find out, is rude, unhelpful and a terrible host all round.

The quiz was fun when we eventually were allowed to play after the quiz master basically tried to keep it to locals and his friends so that he didn't have to do too much work but I wouldn't recommended going here for the quiz as the prizes were also pretty poor unless you win the...
