In The Meantime — Restaurant in Carlisle

I'm very disappointed with our family meal last night 14/01/23. I had organised a family meal for my daughters birthday and every single one of us thought the meal was over rated and definitely over priced. Myself, my mam,my daughter(who's birthday it was) my daughters friend and my eldest daughter all ordered the steak none of our orders where right and my eldest daughter sent hers back and then had to wait 20 mins before she got her food. My mam and daughters food was very tough and not cooked to how they where supposed to be. We put up with our food as we had waited a while. As we sat eating all our deserts the lass came to our table and told us we had 10 mins left on our table which was bang out of order as 20 mins had been taken up waiting on them getting my daughters order right. They had came to our table with our orders wrong atleast 3 times. I've heard great things about this place , but I took my mum out for a meal on mother's day and the waitress who served ruined the meal. The lady who served us was rude and surly the entire time. They didn't have roasts left or chocolate brownie and she was not apologetic in the slightest. And seemed annoyed by us and kept looking over listening to our conversation. She continuously looked over to us giving us filthy looks. I felt uncomfortable throughout the entire meal. And at one point she told me off for using a swearword during my private conversation which is fair enough,but i lowered my voice as I said it and she was watching my conversation so intently that she saw me say it and came over to tell me off like a child. The couple next to me used swear words and she did not tell them off. Also we waited well over 40 mins of our meal. The food was lovely but the waitress made me not want to return. I've eaten in and had takeaways from here, as I'm a coeliac it's hard to find good gluten free food. This is one of my favourite places as it has all my comfort foods. Got this munchies box delivered last night, containing Korean glazed Chicken, Nachos, potatoe lattices, Wraps and shredded beef and it was delicious. Even ordered the gyros thinking they may be gluten free but recieved a phone call to say they weren't and that if I didn't want another option they could just add more of everything which was perfect. Only thing I'd say for the restaurant is to put the wraps under the foil or in separate foil so they don't get covered in oil or sauce.
