Great atmosphere in this place. Two floors so if its busy down stairs or you want a place to chill thats out the way, then check upstairs as its much less formal and has a lounge vibe to it. A large selection of largers and theres enough ales to keep you entertained - usualy guest beers and ales are rotated regularly. Theres more than enough spirits in the place to make you regret ordering a top-shelf. Staff are friendly and will let you try samples of the beer. They're pretty enthusiastic, too. Sometimes theres music, sometimes theres not. Sometimes it can get busy, it depends whats on that night. It's safely out of the Botchergate danger zone but close enough for you to see the ambulances and police dragging the casualties out of there. All in all its...

I had a wonderful afternoon. It was a really nice atmosphere with a friendly team. It was nice to be able to sit and read a book while people around me were playing board games, pampering their pooch... there were even a couple of quiet murmurings of song from one table... the songs played were just right! The choice of drinks was good, there were many flavours of mocktail to choose from which I always appreciate. Food was simple but effective and service was quick and always with a smile. The pricing is fair, &, we ate the food too fast, to get a picture! It was delicious, and well presented,clean plates and very comfy seats.
