DO NOT EAT HERE!!! If I could give this place a zero I would. I came here with my partner and had a panic attack. The worst dining experience I've ever had and such a nasty waitress! As soon as we entered the cafe the waiting staff was unfriendly and gave off a cold attitude. Then we came to order and received our food which was incorrect, so of course we asked the waitress to amend this and she refused unless we paid for the original food and then paid for what we actually ordered. Anywhere else would have happily catered for this but the service we received was vile. The waitress came back over with the card reader and waved it infront of us without even saying how much the meal we didnt eat was. So I asked the price and was gobsmacked; she was making us pay for food we didn't eat and made us feel attacked, vulnerable and trapped. I was left crying and shaking and not once did she apologise or frankly give a care in the world. My partner talked to the other member of staff and he was able to get this sorted for us as the waitress was not backing down.
I spent most of the afternoon shaking as I couldn't believe the way we had...
Read moreCame in for hoping for a nice bite to eat and left feeling attacked and upset! The waitress took the wrong order and gave us something which we could not eat! We sent the food back instantly as it wasn't the right order and we decided to just have drinks instead. The waitress then held the card reader in my face without handing us a bill as she was charging us for the food we didn't eat and started arguing with us.We asked to speak to the owner but she claimed he would "just say the same thing". My partner had a panic attack as she was feeling trapped and backed into a corner by the waitress, and I believe this to be the only reason we got charged correctly! The other member of staff I talked to was kind and didn't talk to us like garbage like the waitress did! Didn't manage to get to speak to the owner which I find unfortunate. We left with a metaphorical sour taste in our mouths and struggled to enjoy the rest of our day at...
Read moreI've stepped in Comb during a weekend visit to Edinburgh. As a Londoner I can honestly tell sadly there is no place like this in London. Not too small but not too large menu just perfect for such place and all my orders were incredibly well cooked and tasty. The coffee is very good too. So good in fact I've ended up getting their beans for myself too. I've checked the dates and all the bags were fresh even had the roasters name on them. The price is right even a bit too cheap compared to London. This place is far from a regular third wave coffee shop that serves you overpriced coffee that doesn't taste much different than Costa where you only sit to get a breather. You would go out of your home just to go to Comb. Hats off to the staff as well. Probably if you go in here in a bad mood you'll leave smiling. If I lived in Edinburgh I'd be a...
