The bouncers on Saturday (01/03) were completely out of line. Physically pushed my friend and I out of the venue when we were stood at the side causing no trouble. There was no valid reasoning and after being asked for an explanation, none was given apart from snarky, entitled remarks. Clearly got a kick out of it and felt completely smug with themselves. This followed by the bouncers pairing together to take pictures of us, laughing to themselves and seeking a reaction from us. We asked them to delete the picture, which they refused to do because “they didn’t feel like it” they then sent the picture to group chats to prevent us from going into any other venues that evening. Overall a completely disturbing and distressing scenario. It was sad to see everyone around complicit to such blatant misogyny and sexism. They refused to share their names/ show their ID’s and clearly knew they were in the wrong. Bouncer completely entitled and inappropriate. As a young woman I felt unsafe and violated for being forcefully touched and pushed by two men just for standing on the stairs for no more than two minutes deciding whether to stay or leave. Makes me very upset and concerned to experience that there are still so many sick men out there that get clearly get some sort of kick out of hurting, bullying and tyrannising women. After taking several photos of me and a friend and sending them into a group chat and laughing about them with his colleague we asked to take a picture of his name badge of which he did everything in his power to hide. Horrible experience and horrible cowardly bouncers. I was also told as a sober women that I was being drunk and disorderly. Complete abuse of power and position. Whilst manager was polite and apologetic on complaining the next day not sure anything will be done about these nasty men as they work for an outsourced security company - Gent Security Management. We had a great time at Kitty O'Shea's. The quality of the pint of Guinness was really unbelievable.

And I want to give a special shoutout to Ashley. She was really incredible. Let me explain: some lads were causing a disturbance that ended up with 10 of them being kicked out of the pub (to be fair, it was nothing really serious, they were just too excited about football) and Ashley was amazing in de-escalating the situation. She came to apologise to all of the other guests saying that we were more than welcome to visit the pub again with a more calm atmosphere.

It was the best example of perfect hospitality. We'll definitely visit...
