In the heart of Edinburgh city lies a charming neighbourhood that warmly welcomes, actually loves, our four-legged friends - Stockbridge. Known for its pet-friendly cafes, spacious parks, and dog-welcoming stores, this community is a haven for both pups and their owners. Both sides of the pavements are filled daily with people taking their furry companions for walks, stopping for a puppacino or letting them off-leash at Inverleith park. Stockbridge is a dog-friendly paradise. Sip & Bark have moved into the area and really upped the ante when it comes to treating your pooch. We took my favourite Dachshund, Artie for brunch! I’ve been to many a dog friendly cafe where water is provided and there’s perhaps a puppacino available, but Sip & Bark really care for the doggo/s in your life, possibly even more than us mere hoomans. Although the cafe is small the seating is spacious and comfortable. Gorgeous large window to sit at as well as outdoor seating. On arrival, Artie was provided with a warm fleece placed on the floor and a water bowl. Lots of pets and scratches are obligatory. There’s a hooman menu listing breakfast, brunch and lunch items plus drinks and a doggie menu featuring Dog Doughnuts, biscuits, ‘wine’ and puppacinos. Breakfast is served until 11am, brunch all day and lunch from 11am. They are open Monday to Friday, 7am to 6pm and Saturday and Sunday, 8am to 6pm. Coffees were delicious, made well and served hot. We chose a wee Posh Pooch ‘wine’ for Artie. He was a little unsure at first but soon got a taste for it. The menu is filled with dishes that make your mouth water from Full Scottish breakfasts to Croque Monsieur for lunch. For lunch try the Turkish Eggs or the or Fig and Marscapone on Sourdough. They have a small kids menu too featuring pancakes and cereal. We went for the Ox Cheeks Eggs Benedict with poached eggs and pickled cucumber. The portion of ox cheek was decent but it was stone cold, not brought to room temperature, like it had just been scooped straight out of the fridge with two warm poached eggs atop. Taste wise delicious, just a very strange combo of very cold pulled ox cheek with warm poached eggs, and a fairly thick Hollandaise sauce. Marscapone Berry Pancakes with mixed fruit, maple syrup, whipped honey marscapone, marshmallows, strawberry coulis and crushed pistachios. This was a complete miss for me. Most of the ingredients listed didn’t feature and I could only manage one pancake as it was so dry. No maple syrup, the whipped honey marscapone had no honey in it and was barely half a teaspoons worth, no marshamllows, a smattering of strawberry coulis and nuts. We presented Artie with the Doggy menu and he nudged his wee nose against the Doggy Doughnut but they didn’t have it available so instead we chose the peanut butter flavoured, Bone Biscuit. Artie scoffed it within minutes, so I reckon thats a thumbs up! Sip & Bark is popular with dog owners and non dog owners alike. If you love dogs in any capacity, a visit here will only increase your happiness factor. There were several dogs in when we visited, and all were well mannered and happy to be petted. For me this is your daily dose of dog! Sip & Bark have just recently opened and with some tweaks, I am sure the menu will be fantastic! I’ll definitely be back!

A wonderful dog-friendly gem in Edinburgh! We visited Sip and Bark yesterday and we can’t say enough good things about it! The entire team was incredibly friendly and professional. The dog-friendly concept is clear from the start, from the fun logo to the special menu designed just for dogs. The food for us humans was just as impressive: great selection, beautifully presented, and genuinely delicious. The menu isn’t too long, which we actually loved, it shows they focus on doing a few things really well rather than trying to cover everything. As soon as we walked in, we were warmly welcomed, shown to our table, and offered a blanket for our dog to relax on. Holly, our pup, was greeted not only with cuddles but also a little treat, such a thoughtful touch that really set the tone. The space is small but super cozy, with a relaxed and inviting vibe. We originally found this place while searching online for dog-friendly spots, and while Edinburgh is said to be a dog-friendly city, our experience showed us that truly welcoming places like this are actually rare. Thank you, Sip and Bark, for making Holly feel so welcome in a new city and for making life easier (and tastier) for her two-legged companions. Highly recommended!

Visited sip and bark for brunch with my parents and rescue dog Hobbes yesterday. The decor is very cosy and cute, Hobbes loved having his very own dog couch. The server was absolutely amazing and very friendly! He was refreshingly sassy with us while being very friendly, attentive and professional. We were instantly greeted and Hobbes got a bowl of water seconds after we sat down. Hobbes absolutely loved him, he can make a lot of people nervous especially when he’s very excited (which he was) and it was lovely to see him have such lovely interactions with the server and he gave Hobbes lots of love which was very appreciated! The food was amazing we had a toastie and a croffle and was made perfectly! The hot chocolate and raspberry mojito were brilliant. The dog menu is such a lovely touch that really makes you feel welcome with your dogs. Hobbes got a bone and puppuccino which he loved. Overall was absolutely amazing and I will definitely be back! Thank yous so much for a lovely brunch x
