Looking for brunch in Cirencester and found this place on Google maps. Lovely friendly smiling lady welcomed us in. Got to be the cleanest place we been into, no marks or smudges on menus and tables all spotlessly clean. Had our coffee very quickly, and good coffee by the way. Our order a short time later we had Old Cafe Breakfast and an English Breakfast off the menu, freshly cooked. Very well presented and hot. The sausage and bacon where delicious. We also had an extra coffee and a milkshake. The menu isnt huge, but there is a good choice with vegetarian options, lunch, and light meals but is priced very reasonably. Definitely worth a revisit and a real friendly hidden gem in Cirencester. Thankyou The Old Cafe it was lovely meal.

You're probably aware that I'm a great fan of swirly things on my coffee ☕️. I regret that swirlyness does not reside at The Old Cafe in Cirencester. Considering this is an independent 🤔 establishment the taste of the latte did not rank as high as those which rank higher than it. In my opinion that includes more than 50% of those reviewed in earlier posts. Forgive me, but room for improvement.

Great breakfast. The food was hot, tasty and cooked to perfection. Had just done a workout and just had to enjoy a classic English. Looks like this cafe has been under new management and they are doing a good job. I think this is one of the last remaining ‘authentic’ British cafes of Cirencester. Keep up the good work and for those who want to visit, do the local businesses some justice.

Appalling service. EXTREMELY rude staff to myself and my very well behaved 9yo son. We waited at the allocated area, stood by the till. No other customers in the café. We were ignored and looked at like we had 2 heads by a rude lady staff member who when we were eventually asked our order ( two milk shakes to take away) she huffed, puffed and spoke in a different language i did not understand. She slammed the drinks about, didn't bother to measure the ingredients and failed to put some of the ingredients in. Pushed the milk towards the counter but far enough away that i couldn't safely reach it. Barked the cost and snatched the payment. Upon leaving and drinking the milkshake it was very clear that the milk was on the turn, very very water like and quite possibly the worst shake I'd ever had. It had no flavour at all. Just watery slight off milk. No strawberry or...

Edited as the original review was very short. Good points: Clean toilets, food was hot. Bad points: Very small portion sizes. My partner and I both ordered a breakfast, thankfully she had already eaten and let me eat half of hers. If not I'd have still been very hungry. Bad coffee. The breakfast comes with 'unlimited' coffee refills but you wont want the first. Also it came with milk without me asking already mixed. Either ask if a customer wants milk or bring it in a separate container. Also the coffee was weak Food was mis-priced. I ordered a veggie breakfast which was advertised as 50p cheaper than the meat breakfast but was charged the higher amount. Explanation: "We havent updated the prices". Regarding the comment made by the owner below, if you want more than 2 stars you need to...
