Bagel Brunch — Restaurant in Coventry

Discovered this place by accident and was not disappointed. A wonderful gem hidden away in the heart of the shopping district in Coventry city, opp West Orchids shopping centre. It is a family business, hence the attention to detail in service, quality of food and shop decor. Enchanting and relaxing. The ambience was just great and I love the Oriental/Middle Eastern vibe inside. This is not a greasy spoons cafe nor is it a pompous high-end restaurant. However, it is a place for great food and provides a place to unwind and retreat from the world outside. I came for a late lunch (a halal lamb wrap with chips) which was absolutely delicious. Knowing I was staying one night in Coventry and having checked the menu, I decided was going to return for the vegetarian breakfast the next day. Again, I was not disappointed. The ambience was great, food was fantastic and staff polite and welcoming. I would give Bagel Brunch 6 stars if I could. Can't praise it enough.

I returned to Bagel Brunch yesterday and again, was not disappointed. The place was buzzing as expected. This time I ordered a chicken bagel and it was the best bagel I’ve had in a long time! So I felt the need to write this post because as a customer of Bagal for the last couple of years. I've only had 2 complaints about food! I have eaten many many times here and I've also eaten the salmon and avocado bagal many times with zero complaints. However, today I ordered the salmon and avo bagal with a cup of tea which cost me 11 odd quid! When I took my 1st bite of bagal the salmon was full of brown gristle and tasted funny. I pulled the salmon out and continued to the 2nd half of the bagal to which I then deemed it inedible! Leaving me with a tender tummy and a bad taste in my mouth! I spoke to the staff on this morning who basically told me no one has ever complained about the salmon before! I was complaining and I wished for a refund due to the cost of something that was potentially harmful and inedible. No refund offered only cake or muffin! Be careful when ordering raw salmon as I have been very poorly in the past (from somewhere else) I don't expect to be argued with when I'm a regular customer whose eaten regularly with...

Wow haven’t had a English breakfast like this for a long time

Me and my work colleague came here for a spot of breakfast. Parking was a bit tricky to find but it’s in the city centre so we knew this might be a issue.

The place was easy to find and was busy. Always a good sign. Plenty of seating inside and found a table easy

Ordered the veggie English breakfast. The service was fast and friendly.

The food came out rapid with about a 5 mins wait. I thought I’d be waiting for ages as they were busy.

The food was fresh, tasty and hot. The food was that hot that I had to wait for it to cool down. So tasty and great portion size too for the money.

Self serve for sugar and condiments which I think is a great idea.

Place was clean and funky decor. Saw the staff cleaning tables after customers left. Which is great as we all hate them sticky tables

Really would highly recommend this place.
