I've been here for Works Departmental lunch & most likely never go again. Food is nice & restaurant is spacious enough. Had to wait to be seated despite booking & when we arrived there was no one there to show us to our table. When we were shown to our table it had not been cleaned properly, item of staff clothing on the table & also a cloth that obviously a staff member was using to clean the table perhaps.
As there were meant to be 10 of us having one table was a problem, 9 of us in the end. When we were shown to our table the Manager (I think) wanted to put us on two tables; we asked if we could put one small table for two onto a large table; this again was a problem. We had booked, so why not put us somewhere where there was ample seating together?! I get it's lunchtime & maybe they are not used to that many people being there at lunchtime.
Asked if the table could be cleaned by another staff member, no problem. Food was served quite quickly, but staff member bringing the food to the table could have done with smiling more & speaking up as to what food she was bringing. When we pointed out who was having what food that was also an issue; love if you don't speak up we can't hear you & we were helping you do your job!
Another customer was there with his son, who smashed a ketchup bottle (by accident) on the floor, no staff member went to deal with it so customer is picking up the glass from the floor & said customer had to go & get staff to come & clean the glass up; all staff were far too busy in their own role to notice something had happened & what if that customer had cut himself on the glass he was picking up?
I am really not sure why people rave about Nandos & as said before, probably won't go again.

I recently visited Nando's Coventry Arena and had an extremely unpleasant experience, primarily due to the behavior of the manager, Fabian. He was called out of a manager's meeting to address a simple request but instead displayed an appalling level of arrogance and unprofessionalism. Rather than listening to our concerns, Fabian seemed more interested in asserting his authority than resolving the issue at hand.
What was most shocking was his complete disregard for the basic principle of customer service: listening to the customer. Instead of showing empathy or attempting to find a solution, he came across as dismissive, cocky, and overly defensive. It was clear he wanted to demonstrate his position of power, but it only highlighted his inability to handle customer interactions with tact or respect.
A manager’s role should be to lead by example and ensure the dining experience meets a certain standard. Fabian fell woefully short of this. His behavior left a sour taste, overshadowing the rest of the visit and making it clear that he does not belong in the position he currently holds.
If you value good service and respectful communication, I’d strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere. This experience was far from what one expects from a Nando’s restaurant, and management would do well to reconsider who they entrust with...

When we arrived, the place wasn’t too busy but still had to wait awhile to be seated when we could clearly see free seats, also none of the workers approached us until we had to chase for one and let them knowthat we had been waiting. When we were seated, we were not given any instructions on how to order (luckily it wasn’t our first time) and had to wait over 30 minutes for our food, and was disappointed when arrived as portions were small and the burger was basically falling apart. Also, we asked the server if they could kindly put the blinds down as the sun was in our faces and they said yes but never actually did it (it was done for the other side of the restaurant) and the waiter was very much not open to fulfilling our needs, as they rolled their eyes anytime we would ask for anything or when we wanted to check for how long the food would take as we were waiting for quite awhile. Anyways, will not be visiting anytime soon, until the customer service that is provided gets better as right now is very much below...
